I hate protoss.

I just made the mistake of trying to macro against a protoss on TDA.

I crushed his first big push destroying all the collossi w00t! 180 supply (80 drones 4 base, 5th building) versus 110 supply protoss (on 3 base!), what's this? he has psi storm and is warping in blinkstalkers off 15 gates? Goodbye to my counterattack in a matter of seconds. It's ok, im on 5 base and im trading armies. It should be fine, he's contained to 3 base.

WTFBBQ warp prism fml. Apparently 4 spines a base doesn't mean shit if he warps in 12 zealots at a time. AM I meant to have muta patrols specifically to stop this? Because my army at max is trading for only about 25% of his army at every engage, even with a beautiful fungal roach hydra corruptor mix, versus his ATLEAST 50 supply less then mine... WHERE DO I FIND SUPPLY TO STOP THE PRISM?? Time to trade queens for macro hatches 15 minutes into zvp to get 10 extra supply lol?

OK time to go for broods. oh what's this? 20 psi storms and blink forward and focus fire they all died, well i killed his army it should be ok right? Oh ... nope he just killed 3 bases with those zealot warpins.

Also really not sure what a zerg is meant to do on shattered either. I think I just have to learn to play like ST.Curious : HERPDERP WHAT IS A 3rD BASE! I LIKE GETTING LAIR At 5:00 AND TECHING INFESTORS OR MUTAS, I SOMEHOW WIN CODE A WITHOUT EVER TAKING A FAST 3RD AND SOMEHOW PROTOSS STIlL DONT EXPECT MY GIMMICK INFESTOR RUSHES.

GODDAMNIT, every time i try to emulate those korean 2 base styles a timing push overwhelms me, gahh. Maybe i just need to refine those plays KOREANS WHY U NO POST REPLAYS. ME NO UNDERSTAND HOW BUILD WORK FROM GSL CAST. GAHHH.


so yeah. Once again training korean ladder and raging at protoss... and ACL is this weekend and i probably won't get a single ZvP... sigh.

Haha. That was a funny read. I am actually considering vetoing Tal Darim as I don't win any games on that map. Its so hard to defend from pylons and warp prisms. Only problem is, I'd have to unveto Xel Naga or one of the new maps T.T

i just try to stop myself thinking about imbalance by saying "i bet there are tons of zergs that would be able to crush him", then cont trying to get better. I am not playing at a high level so it would work as a "rage counter" for now lol.

as a protoss, I hate zerg.

I know youre better than me, but ive played some really good players, and on shattered i feel 2 base muta into 3rd/4th at same time works okay, youre forced to tech on 2 base cos no easy third. but when you take 3rd and 4th as a gold, you turn out okay. I dont find shattered to be a very easy match for PvZ, no easier than any other map

Hey PiG! good rage - it was specific to the map and the matchup, and the particular game. Not just the general "Protoss OP Herp Derp". Just curious - didnt you have a PiGs POV about how terran was just OP and basically BS?

But to an extent, i really fail to see how to beat a really hard turtling protoss. What is the general advice to zerg- just expand all over the map? That isnt going to stop the protoss push that is inevitably going to come for your map. also as terran the advice is to drop and attack where his army isnt. once again, if they get that nice mix of HTs Archons charge zealots and colossi, you better hope he doesnt land 2 storms or it is all over.

Did anyone see Idra raging on SoTG the other day about how dumb protoss players are? i am not sure I agree with his sentiment, but it was his contention that every protoss should turtle on 3 bases all the time. Incontrol of course pointed out that protoss needed to do the timing attacks and rushes to stop the turtling being blind countered, but it was still an interesting discussion...

If i could -rep this i would, but it's a blog. Zerg tears every day are being shed because races like Protoss continue to find new ways to be imba and abuse this game.

I am not a fan or protoss, if protoss was a band I would definately not go to their show and buy their t-shirts! Only time I win vs a Protoss player is when they make really big mistakes here is hoping hots will give a viable mech play vs P

first off us protoss hate pvz just as much from the fear of muta anyway i know im not as good as you and i shall try to get on your level so i can practice with you asap but have you tryed ling/roach/infestor drops on shattered? The main base is very vulnerable to any drop harrass i find. The most annoying harrass 1 dropship of ling/roach/infestor just causing me to have to focus somewhere other than i want to. I know you probably have you builds sorted etc but i thought id share what annoys me muta im ok with these days in fact i kinda prefer it as it lets me go my fun build. as for anti wrap prism if you ahve a curropter on patrol on the edges of you far away bases if generally forces the wrap prism into somewhere harder to drop etc and i know 1 curropter per place is annoying but if it stops the drops its good right ^_^. anyway just some of my ideas hope it helps in some way ^_^. . also broods following hydras can be really annoying as its hard to blink into them i know with storm easier but generally take a few espically if pure roach instead of hydra

I feel your hate for protoss - they can just do everything continuously off of 3 base
kill all their colossii and you're thinking sweet my remax will take whats left of his gateway army then i can start doing some actual damage. 30 seconds later he's got 3 more colossii and extra gateway units and its just repeat repeat repeat and hope you don't get caught out of position and get a bad engagement TT

Also so many protosses don't realise how damn good pheonix are against zerg. you worried about mutas? go pheonix into gateway and mutas will get shut down sooooooooooo hard not to mention you do huge amounts of damage (in terms of delaying/annoying the zerg) and if you've seen games where the zerg going mass hydras gets countered by mass pheonix... >.<
If protosses figure out how to micro it makes life so amazingly hard for the zerg.
