A Great Movie Year
 

Just finished watching thor with a bunch of aLts (also a farewell to cure who goes into army in 5 days!) and wow was it fantastic! Hands down my favourite show of the year. Loved that aussie leads charismatic presence and the story was engaging and well written. director was an oscar nominated "serious film" guy or smth and it really showed what you can do with some serious talent and a big budget behind u. he brought the fantastic storyline that made marvel comics so loved out into cinematic perfection. oxy saying it was just "not bad" CMON DUDE WTF!

In fact, this year has been a really good year for movies, especially in the last month. And heres a list of shows ive enjoyed so far.


authur - love russel brand so every show by him is a must watch. alot better than get him to the greek but stil cant come close to the masterpiece that was forgetting sarah

limitless - plots holes or not watever i dont care. i generally ignore it dont let the small negatives ruin my movie expereince. loved the whole concept and how it ended.

source code - this was pretty good too, and the most fantastic freeze frame kiss ending of all time

looking forward to:
fast 5
Captain america
the hangover 2 (this is gonna be so good!)
xmen when they are kids
a very harold and kumar chrismas

not looking forward to:
pirates of the caribean. plz die already
transformers. loved 1 but 2 was so meh
harry potter. stopped caring at #3

so yea what a great year for movies !!

Last year i only enjoyed inception, how to train your dragon, entangled, dispecable me and the other guys - cant remember what else was good but i watched a whole lot of crap. the fact that i enjoyed more animated flims than real flims goes to show how much last year sucked in movies.

maybe the social network and 127 hours were good but those arent really my favourite genres. call me old fashioned but i like my movies entertaining and those that keep u on the edge of ur seat all the way, i feel thats how movies are supposedly to be made, the good old fashion in your face blockbuster THOR way. tho well made docuentries/dramas are alright once in awhile. i had high hopes for iron man 2, toy story 3 and get him to the greek but they were all disappointing.

Wow. I just realized the lead from Thor was in Home & Away, lol xD. I've been seeing that poster around everywhere and even the trailers and yet it still didn't click until I read this thread.
Were Limitless and The Source Code psychological thrillers? A new Harold and Kumar is coming out? AWESOME!!!!

yes they fit the thriller genre but not sure what qualifies as pychological.

they were filming arthur in new york when I was there! rusell brand was running around the street outside the waldorf astoria, i forgot in what, maybe a bathrobe, maybe i'll be in the background somewhere

i have to agree with Oxygen the movie Thor was ok/not bad certainly not in my list of great movies, one i would have preferred to get on DVD.

But it is good to see a blog about something other than SC2 although the basis of this site/communtiy is SC2, it is good to include other interests and hobbies. i myself am an avid movie watcher, can't wait to see a good handful of the movies you have listed either. Fast and the furious was a good movie recommend people go watch that one!
