Any Melbournians looking for a new place ~jan/2016?
 

Hi friends,

TLDR:

My housemates are looking at moving out at the end of this year/maybe start of next. I am possibly looking for some new housemates.

OII(okay I'm interested):

I live out in the Footscray area. Roughly 15min to the city by train (of which there are THREE stations within easy walking distance), along with standard cool-stuff nearby. The total rent for my quaint little place is about $1700 per month, give or take, I can't remember right now.

It's an old house that - to be honest - is a piece of trash; it's purely the location and the fact that it's a 2(3ish) bedroom place that lends to the price of this joint. Which in all honestly isn't actually that bad of a rental price comparatively.

The reason I mentioned 2(3ish) on the bedrooms is that there are definitely 2 bedrooms, and a third can be utilised, though it's a little smaller - if this was a family home it'd be a study/kids tv room or something idk. Just fyi. So essentially I'm happy with 3 people in this house (given it'll bring the rent down for all!) but financially 2 people is doable as well, just a little less money I have to bet on CSGO skinz. (jokes, sort of)

What else... umm. Oh yeah, no pets cause there's like no real backyard and despite there being a doggie door I actually hate little dogs so if you have a rat-dog, sorry brah. Actually, depends on the breed, but generally no.

I would prefer someone who's looking to stick around long-term - currently I'm saving to buy my own apartment but I'm a little ways off that for now. If you're only looking to stick around for like 6 months or some shit please swipe left.

"But duck, you're generally a solo dude who isn't a fan of people that much!? Why don't you just get a place by yourself?" Great question - I've had a look around and while yes, I actually would like to just chill solo, I despite some of the small drawbacks about this place the gains are actually fantastic. It's simple for me to get to work, it's generally a quiet area despite the reputation of this area, and also there is a cute grill who works at the japanese restaurant up the street.

You'll have noted that I said I'm "possibly" looking for another person. The reason it's not definitive yet is that:

1. I'm not sure about when my housemates are moving out
2. I'm still not 100% sure on whether I do want to chill solo

So at the moment I am purely looking to see if anyone is interested, and whether or not you play terran. This is by no means a sure thing - I just want to see if it's worth my time figuring out to get someone(s) in here, because currently I'm not on the lease for this place (lol) and I'd have to **** around and get that shit sorted.

To clarify Crimson's acknowledgement as well - sorry I didn't mean "only people who already live in melbourne" it's open to others as well, smh I suck at titles.

Hell Yeah, i am interested. Actually planning to move back to Melbourne at the end of the year (currently on an 11 month work contract until the end of December)
