Today started with le flight, it was around mid-day so no dramas there... the only interesting parts of this day were when I landed in Sydney.
The Sydney airport was bigger than the main part of Adelaide's city... holy shit it was ******* gigantic, i got lost instantly and had to jog a marathon to get to public pick-up where Yours and JunO were waiting~
The drive back to JunO's place took like... i don't know... 2 hours? Holy shit how do Sydney people drive anywhere?!

Somethingsomething got back somethingsomething practiced somethingsomething went to sleep early.

Ayyy, now the fun stuff~
Once we rocked up at the event and found out where the entrance was it was pretty straightforward; Yours, JunO and myself went in, met a couple people (insano was the first person I met!) and chilled for a bit.
I then made the mistake of going outside to look around for the fray dudes... After not finding them, and finding out they were still en-route, I was stuck outside and they didn't let me back in.
So I waited...
And waited......
And waited........
Then movement! Around the corner comes some short kid with a Vox shirt (or was it a jumper? idk, i saw vox somewhere on him) and I thought it was just one of their CS:GO players...
Then Pox and some others come around the corner and HOLY SHIT THAT KID WAS DAVID.

THERE WERE OTHERS TOO BUT I HAVE BAD MEMORY

Fangirled for a while, slowly edged myself over into the group, and eventually we were all let into the venue after the plebian CoD and CS:GO players.

(ALSO, HOLY SHIT, SAW SPUNJ AT THE DOORS OMG)

Aaaanyway, inside the event with more of the sc2 dudes was awesome.
I got a chance to see the people I talk to online in person for the first time! I mistook Redemption for Lawrence like a scrub (I've rarely seen pictures of them both... pls i'm not racist ;o; ), but that ended up being fine because Redemption is honestly the nicest person to talk to and we just laughed it off.

I warmed up a bit with the other fray guys once they arrived, and met some others... then it was game time! My Open Bracket was "decent" to say the least... My PvZ was 30% going into this and to draw 2 Zergs in a row felt heartbreaking.
It was Phoenix first, then Vivid if I beat Phoenix.

I don't remember too much from the games against Phoenix other than I lost to a ultras and queens on vaani and 7gated him on Coda... i think i cannoned like a filthy shitter on Expedition.
The next match was against Vivid.. who I knew from a little experience loved to go muta in ZvP, so I treated the match like it was against Livibee and it turned out he ******* BANE BUSTS ME THEN PROXY HATCH LING FLOODS.
I got rekt 2-0, vowing to never again get out-cheesed~ Vivid's a nice kid though! So couldn't be too mad.

Lower bracket was vs some Terran named Noddy, I was super confident going into this as my PvT had been 80% or higher in the week leading up to ACL and I just 10gated him twice... 2-0.

Next I had to vs the living legend #CUT4HUT... the maps were shit and I underestimated him, so I got swiftly 2-0'd and was thus knocked out of ACL... missing groups by one match, but that spot went to a teamate so all was well! Onto day 2 after going back to HuT's with the team that night.

Final day! I was a cheerleader with MiLes for this day, we did what we could for the boys still fighting in their groups and hung out with a bunch of cool people for a good part of the day... The highlight of hanging with MiLeyboy was getting lunch together with Maynarde.. now THAT is something that i'll treasure forever, big fanboy of Maynarde etc~ ^_^

I've never felt so excited watching games of StarCraft 2 before either! I was right behind Chase when he held KingKong's 9 pool and won, I was almost in tears of joy haha.
I was right behind Alopex as he took out Frust 2-0 and saw how happy he was having defended the 2 gate.
The Crimson vs HuT game on Coda was also ******* intense, bio for literally 40-45 minutes and neither could comfortably take a 4th... so much harass, so many counterattacks shut down... brilliant games!

There were so many games.. i could go on forever, but lets jump straight to the grand final~

I was right in it with "Team Pigeon" clapping the thundersticks away with Chris, Azure, Probe, MiLes, Chase and my mate Luyi(known as Shy/RisinG on here, will refer to him as Shy).
And let me just say... the atmosphere during the finals was intense as ****.
Every move that was made, people went nuts and were on the edges of their seats.
Pigeon and NXZ played so freaking well, it was a pleasure to be there amongst so many friends to witness the top 2 of ACL going at it on stage.

MiLes and I had our throats literally fucked from all the yelling... but it was worth it, to witness the first ACL Protoss champion in my first every attendance of an ACL is awesome!

As it all wrapped up... we separated into groups and decided where to go for some KBBQ, as per tradition or w/e
This was also my first time trying KBBQ, and Shy was very, very helpful with showing me some things and telling me what food was what, we also had 3x the shots of everyone else "because we're young and have nothing to lose"~ the way back to the train station was rather sad, as we slowly went off to our own trains and made our way to our different accommodation/flights... i felt like the weekend could've gone just that little bit longer so I could spend some more time with everyone ;-;
