Acl 2015
 

Friday 26th June :

Arriving into sydney at 6am was a death sentence as the flight takes 4 hours but its also at midnight so you pretty much get no sleep, anyways after i arrived i had to wait 4 hours for Jamie (Ice) to get into the airport so we can catch a cab to Mikeys house (Psycho) as thats where we were staying for the weekend. Once Jamie arrived we went to Mikeys house and started the practicing of Sc2, On no sleep i decided to stay up for as long as i could and just push through and stay up as late as i could. After about 34 hours i passed out on the chair i was playing starcraft with for about 30mins, Jamie and Simon decided to take advantage of that and take photos of me and what ever else they did ( i hope nothing bad! haha).


Saturday 27th June :

Waking at 7am, i got up and ready showered and had breakfast and by 8am we were on our way to ACL, Arriving at the venue around 8.30am, Ice Mikey and myself started warming up, after a few hours of playing games the tournament started, i watched a few games here and there, Came around 4pm i started playing my games first up was Kez, first game i pushed with a 8 gate push and just crushed his roach ling army, 2nd game i also did the same to his 3 base macro and crushed him again taking the 2-0, after kez i had to play Dark, first game was a macro game 3 base vs 3 base i out macroed him and pushed with blink stalkers and sentries ( pre good if you can use them well) game 2 was the same and i took the 2-0, the last person i had to play for this day was Yours, we played on stage and he was clearly the Crowd favourite as not many people like to cheer me on. (will talk about this later)
First map was echo, i opened stargate oracle into 3 base blink stalker pressure and just out played him with macro and multi tasking, game 2 he tried to cheese me on cactus valley with a 2 base roach ling attack which would of killed me if he didn't make it suspicious that he was hiding something, so i took the 2-0.

Sunday 28th June :

Arriving at the venue at 8.30am again to get warmed up because i knew i had to be warmed to play against nxz and alopex as they were the 2 guys coming into my group to just take me out of the tournament, by 9am i was playing alopex and after a shakey game 1 with bad plays and macro by myself alopex took the game, game 2 i tried to proxy 2 gate and that just failed to his 15 pool opener i lost 0-2, going into the games vs nxz i knew i had to win 2-1 or 2-0 to atleast advance from my group, game 1 was on echo i opened my 8 gate blink stalker push to his 3 base roach ling but i just attacked in time and just had to much and took game 1, game 2 i tried the same build on vaani which is a decent map for the build but he took really good engagements and macroed very well to take the game and to tie the series 1-1, the game that pretty much just ruined my event completly.... game 3 on iron fortress, i opened 7 gate and with his late speed and hardly any army i was winning and i was going to win untill the mind of a bronze leaguer kicked in and i didnt notice 2 lings go into my mineral line and kill it, soon as i noticed i just shook my head and gg'ed, after that loss there was only 1 chance to advance to champ bracket and that was through kez and nxz, Kez won 2-1 against alopex which made my chance quite decent, nxz got up 1 game and i thought i had a chance but then alopex played very safe and defended nxzs 9 pool to put him behind and win the game.

Overall :

The tournament was run pretty good considering the late start on Saturday, everyone seemed to be cheering in the crowd when they were down there so that was good, i even feel there was more cheering at this ACL then there was last ACL, Baldie did a AMAZING Job at running the event and he was crazy all weekend running around keeping everything on top so Props to baldie for everything he did this weekend and hope to see ya again next ACL if i attend.


This will all be bad and negative shit which actually was stupid, and sorry for the language but it needs to be said.

The venue was ****** freezing and absolutely unplayable for people who actually need to use stuff like blink stalkers, marines drops and even injecting like my hands and my body was shivering day 1 and day 2 of the event which just made it so ****** unplayable it wasnt even funny and i know alot of people had this problem but honestly that should not happen at all, the doors should of been closed the aircon shouldn't of been on and that was just poor by ACL, To the crowd of guys who actually dont like me winning Kez, and others literally go **** yourself cause i haven't done anything to you guys part from beat you in all events and am just better then you guys, yes some say i might not of deserved getting out of groups if i didnt beat alopex or nxz but to laugh at me about not getting out and cheering on alopex so i dont get out is actually pathetic and childish, Expecially Kez, Nxz is your team mate yet you cheer on alopex because you dont want me to get out of groups is actually pretty pathetic. (Yes some of you may be cheering on alopex cause you want him to win bout others were not doing that for him to win)

This was all said because it has to be said because im pretty much sick of this community hating on me for being a better player then most, Yes i might be egotistic sometimes about shit but atleast i can back it up and win shit, i dont even know 70% of you irl and probably wont ever.

Thanks to Dynasty and Skitz for flying me over to Sydney im sorry i didnt get the results that i should have but i will defently try harder next ACL or year or even WCS, also thanks to mike for letting us stay at his house was actually the best of fun, Jamie for supporting me and having a laugh at everything pretty much and also the game of thrones theme song in the morning with the bird whistling to it haha, and thanks to anyone who cheered me on and actually wanted me to win and go far, also thanks to jordan for the games and practice and talking to me about a few things here and there, also all the ETL guys namek and co who cheered for me and talked to me sorry i didnt talk to you guys much at the lan and i left early i just couldnt stand to be around people who didnt actually like me or want me to do well, also to anyone i missed thanks

Frustration, people don't dislike you for being a better player. They dislike you for being a bad person.

From heightened levels of ego not seen since the likes of CombatEx and Deezer, alongside whining and unwarranted BM, to incessant narcissism which does not allow you to take part in any conversation that does not feature yourself as the focal point. You just can't cope if people aren't talking about you.

I wouldnt care to count the times I've seen people have an interesting discussion until you burst in and start constantly espousing FRUSTRALIA or some other garbage and desperately try to spin the topic back to yourself.

Day 1 was pre damn cold, I had 2 t shirts and a hoodie on, and well lets face it alot of natural protection.. Reading what deth said 6 months ago I would have agreed. I feel that ash has changed a lot since the playing on my account saga. Frust isn't afraid to tell us how he feels it is, and can be a lil over egotistical things like this cant change overnight. Overall I feel that mistakes have been made in the past by you ash and you just have to keep working at improving and repairing the bridges that have been burned

Agreed, it was pretty cold in the morning but it wasn't bad during the day. You can't be mad with not getting out since you actually lost to the 2 only good players in your group. We weren't cheering because we didn't want you to make it out, Johnny has been a friend of most of us for over and year and we wanted him and Ryan to make it out of the groups.
You not getting out of groups was an added bonus, maybe next time you can have some sportsmanship and realise that the whole tournament isn't about you.

All this aside, it was good to see you again. You are a lot more tolerable offline, bad luck about your results and hopefully you'll be back when acl melbourne comes around.

Comes with the territory mate, don't act like top shit and then complain when people cheer against you. I know the feels, I can be an arrogant prick too, but I don't complain if someone doesn't like me or cheers when I lose because thats life. Grow up, accept the losses, take it on the chin and joke about how you're gonna get us fuckers next time. I understand youre still probably pissed and emotional but venting to a forum about how people didn't cheer for you is not the way to go

Hey Frustration, remember when you on stream BM'd one of australias best ever brood war players in the largest ever SC2 tournament? It's consistently doing shit like that which makes people want you to lose. It has nothing to do with being better than anyone. Everybody loves Iaguz/Kingkong who completely trash everybody.

Get some manners. Stop being a brat at every opportunity. Then people might not actively cheer against you. Unfortunately for you I don't think anyone will ever cheer for you regardless of what you do.

I didnt bm him at all, 2. i just didnt gg, 3 if thats bad in your terms sure but as of lately 2014 - 2015 i gg in all tournaments so people like you dont get buthurt.

You've said many times that you've changed. That you intended to be better when you came back. And to your credit, for a while you were. And a lot of people around still gave you shit for how you acted in 2012.

But when you start throwing a tantrum about how they don't immediately treat you with respect and just in general revert to how they are giving you shit for having acted, you really just validate all the stuff about your attitude. If you manage to just suck up the shit you're going to get for your past actions for a while, eventually people will move on and treat you with actual respect.

But you're gonna have to just accept that you're gonna get shit for being a dick in the past for a while and just tough it up before that happens.

He's been behaving well as of late. He has been well behaved and nice to people for 3 months. The fact that people are just ignoring this and giving frustration shit EVEN THOUGH he's been trying to adhere to this people by giving nice, is just pathetic. If you truly think he's been behaving 'well' as of late then I think you need to rethink your standards. See Deths post above. I truly think he did behave pretty well mid last year when he resurfaced, but he got a lot of shit even so and has generally reverted back from there.

Like I said why should he try being nice if you people don't give him a chance? If you look at the chatbox over the last 3 months before acl you'll see evidence he WAS being nice and he WAS putting in that effort. The fact that nobody recognises that is unfair to him. I know 3 months isn't long in the grand scheme of things but the fact people ignore this and just focus on emphasising all of the bad things he's said and done is not fair.

he expects to be treated just as well as anyone else and not to have people holding demeaning vibes towards him. At acl people just wanted him out, nobody even seemed to take note that he was putting in the effort to change.

I even heard a rumour that people tried to set up the groups so open bracket could snipe out frustration as because they "didn't like him".

The SEA community just needs to drop this circlejerk... I get he was a dick 3 years ago for not giving a "gg" but he said himself he's changed.
