(Unwanted) Random invites
 

Anyone who wants to randomly invite another player on SC2. Ask nicely AND STOP spamming or BM-ing AND recognise that every player has the right to say no and just accept it.

I know some of these guys have NO HOTS and just wants someone to invite into party to play the fuller version of the game. Does not give the right to demand it.

FYI, I don't know this guy, never talked/played with him ever/not even in our group chat. Makes me wonder about the immaturity of some of these players who are obviously not respecting others.

I had a simular experience with some guy a week or two ago. I forget his name but I think it started with g and he had starters edition. Our conversation went a like this:

Him: *sends invitation*
Me: *Decline*
Him: *sends another invitation*
'invite me to game'
Me: *Decline*
'what?'
Him: 'invite'
Me: 'invite to a game?'
Him: 'yes'
*sends third party request*
Me: 'No thanks I'm busy atm'
Him: '??'
Me: 'What?'
Him: 'game'
*sends fourth request*
Me: 'I said No.'
Him: 'invite me to a gaem'
Me: 'No i dont want to and im busy'
Him '..'

15 minutes later

Him: *sends fifth request*
'i want to play invite me'
Me *Decline*'
'what??
Him: 'game'
Me: 'piss off and ask sum 1else or buy the full game and stop being so cheap
Him: 'i cant afford full game'
Me: 'then get a job'
Him: 'i hav a job i just cant afford the game
*sends 6th request*
Me *Decline + Block*

Only the captains names are in the list now cos the members list is too long. But if u do get them when in our chats, feel free to let us know (we ban such players after warnings) and feel free to block them as well.

They should not be able to access any person in the chat if they are blocked because the member's list is too long to be listed which is good (protects the members).

But I do know that there are ways to get in touch with people listed in other groups as well. So if these people cant find what they want here, they might turn to other lists.

What annoys me most is that these people show no respect for the rights of others by doing such things. Grow up! Grow a spine! Realize that no one is obliged to help u if they say no or is ignoring u to do so. Sheesh!

maybe we can turn on the "only friends can invite" option thing. then we just need to have people who usually invite us to a game or something as friends so none of these sort can happen anymore! but then maybe your friend list might go to like 100 people..

Actually I might turn on the 'only allow friends to invite' but I cant activate the 'only friends to message' option though. Thxs for the suggestion.

I've had people from clan oddie try to recruit me in the middle of the GPDL match from sitting in mGG chat lol
This is after I've asked them to leave me alone 3 times >.>
I still won though so all good

Sadly everyone is way much cooler than me. I never got an invite :'(

oh my these people, so annoying. I've been fortunate to have this only happen to me once, but hot damn. Luckily my internal ignore button is very effective, huehuehue.

Clan Oddie literally spams everyone they see, for me it was a case of;
"want to join oddie?"
"no thanks, i am leader of my own clan"
"oddie is better join us"
block.

Ditto, noobschool and MGG seem to just be spam invite groups now.

Is this true? The mGG public chat was an awesome place to hang out, sadly I'm not there much any more though cause I'm only on SEA to play in tournaments when held there, I miss that place

yep very annoying when random people invite you,
if it's a random they can send you a message asking if you want an invite first.

If it's someone you know send one invite and if it's declined don't send more without them asking for it

I do need the people who hang out in the mGG chats to
(1) block the person who is spamming;
(2) alert us so that if after warnings, a person fails to respond, we can ban the player from the chats; doing so means the player will not be able to approach any one who is in the group chatting

We would love the mGG chat to be a friendly place to interact and socialize; asking for games (properly, sensibly and not unreasonably)
