The razer blackwidow uses standard key layouts.. idk what type of keyboards you were using beforehand. The only thing i find annoying on the blackwidow are the F keys which have been shifted to the right.

hah well it feels like its all been shifted to the right, so i keep presing the wrong buttons.
@next, i was gunna write about SC2, but my keyboard was annoying me more, soz dude!

Love my Razer BW Ultimate! Good luck getting used to it, the switch-sounds alone are worth it, haha!

Anything that's basically mechanical/requires mechanics just requires practice to get it right. If you don't want to kill your ladder rank just hit up some customs.

If you head to the relevant product page and click the FAQ tab, they have written down an explanation of the changed layout.

I get the impression from your post that you didn't exactly do much research before going out and purchasing the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate. Not that it's an entirely bad thing.

All keyboards seem to be a little different and will take time to learn (I find a new mouse is worse personally).

I personally went from a Microsoft Reclusa to the Blackwidow and also found that the layout felt different at first. I haven't looked into it to find out what the actual differences are, but I was certainly hitting a lot of wrong keys and couldn't touch type at all for my first couple of days on the Blackwidow. A couple of months later it feels perfectly fine though

Update : i think i've worked out my problem here, its the macro keys on the side, its thrown my hand placement out... which makes almost all of my point irrelevent.. awks. >.< (bit i am slowly getting there, i've gone 3/4 for my placement matches on US server, i'm doing those as practise games because i really couldnt care less about my NA rank.)

I got my Blackwidow and was a little intimidated to use it a lot since it's a little different and I haven't had a keyboard with macro keys before.

Saying that, a few weeks on I freakin love this keyboard!

Sounds like such a badass at LAN, errbody kno' i be macro'in

G15 logitech works well for me..awesome keyboard IMO..only thing annoying are the g keys..I had to practice using the keyboard in everyday typing and at work, before I got to actually use it in a game..
My mouse is surprisingly, a low budget mouse from a chinese retail store here in PH called CDRKING..I love the way how it feels for me, much better than a pricey mouse..But i had to stock 7 of the same model of that mouse because low budget mouse=less quality, and the model may not be available anymore soon.

I'm using the BWU as well, I love it! And yes initially I had the exact same problem as you. So what I did is I removed the 5 macro keys out of the keyboard all together (I dont use them anyway). So now I'm all happy with all it's clicckity awesomenes!
