Ultralisk Guide vs Terran
 

Introduction: I am a Grandmasters zerg player that wants to share my common ZvT build with you all! The build gets a late third but can then play greedily and tech quickly behind infestors. All-in-all I find this build is quite strong and I find that I can get around 80% winrate vs Terran going Bio-Tank.
Opener:

• 9 Overlord *Scout with the 10th Drone
• 15 Hatch *15 pool if you see low SCV count and no CC
• 16 Pool
• 17 Overlord *Rally the eggs of the 18th and 19th Drone to the main; send three drones to the natural.

Make sure to re-rally drones to the natural, only have 22 drones per base. 16 on minerals and 6 on gas.

• 19 2x Queen
• 23 2x Zerglings *Take the towers after scouting the terrans front with all four. Look for Bunkers and marine count. If possible scout up the ramp to check for factory/starport. Try not to lose any of the zerglings; but if it's unavoidable attempt to kill ans SCV or two.
• 25 Overlord
• 30 2x Queen *Inject and leave at the hatcheries
• 34 Overlord
• 35 Overlord

With the Injecting Queens; Attempt to stay on as little energy as possible, at most around 10. If energy gets too high; spread creep.
Notes:

1. With the larvae from the first inject make 8 drones and rally them to the main and make double gas. Also make 1 more Overlord if you have the larvae
2. Spread creep with the 2 newly spawn queens
3. Only drone the natural; after the 2nd larvae pop-off, make double gas\
4. Make 2 evo chambers at the front of the natural walling off
5. With the 2 extra Queens try to spread as much creep as possible. Attempt to stay around 50 energy on both of them so that transfuse can be used if needed.
6. Put drones on gas and take the third; make a baneling nest after speed; begin 2 spores (1 in each mineral line) upon completion of the evos; begin 1+1: Then Lair.
7. With the next larvae pop-off make all lings and ovies; don't move out with lings until speed.
8. From then on; make sure you have a strong presence on the map with speedlings. React to pressure as it comes.
9. Scout with Overseers as much as you can. Seeing mech early is vital. Make Overseers with the closest overlords every 1:30seconds (in-game) do this until you have seen tech and army comp.

In the Early-Late Game

• When the Lair finishes; begin an infestation pit and 2+2 (When possible) Take a 4th when infestation pit is half way completed.
• When the infestation pit finishes; Begin Pathogen glands and start Infestors when Pathogen glands is 30/80(seconds) through.
• After Infestors have been made; make a Hive and 8 drones for your third (All for gas)
• When the hive completes; make an ultralisk cavern and adrenal glands and 3+3 when possible
• When the Ultralisk cavern completes, make sure you have ample supply room to build Ultras.
• Take a 5th when you are comfortable after the Infestation Pit.

More Notes:

1. After you have gotten Ultras; do not attack until after 3+3, just defend and expand (map dependant)
2. Try to set up flanks with Ultras; try to not attack One Dimensionally.

Versus Mech:

• If your opponent is going mech; take a fast 5th and get a spire at the same time as your hive. Begin a roach warren and 2-3 more queens in case of Hellions. Do not try to kill your opponent with the Roaches unless they are skipping tanks and are not going for banshees.
