Haha yep, so basically I'm done. Will upload a 'Career Retrospective' video soon where I ramble on for close to an hour about my time playing if anybody has the time/patience for that. One thing I forgot to mention in the video was that me studying Animal Companion Services at CIT in addition to
ACL Sydney 2015 was, in my opinion, the best ACL yet. The venue was good and not too far away from various food places. For once there were no lag/dc issues for the entire first day (only issues came when the CS dudes unplugged the net not once but twice on day 2 -__-) and most importantly, I had the most fun chilling out and talking with people, especially my SYF teammates. We all cheered for each other and watched each other's games when we could and it was a great experience.
What up what up, another ACL means another blog from me and since I'm such a long winded ************ it's gonna be a long one (as if you'd expect anything less).
First of all, I'd like to talk a bit about ACL Sydney last year, cause I didn't do a blog about that one. Reason being how ******* depressed I was for like a few days after it. So because talking about how shit my previous ACL experience was is kinda important to the story of this one, I'll talk a bit.
So another ACL means another blog from me. In this one I guess I'll talk a little bit about how ETL has been going. Maybe not, though. I haven't planned anything, just writing whatever comes to mind.
So, after having a ton of fun at ACL Brisbane (http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=1150) I decided I was going to go to ACL Melbourne no matter what. The online qualifiers went pretty ******* terribly for me, which was pretty disappointing. The rest of us didn't do very well either, except... [Read More]
I finally got around to writing a blog about my experiences up in Brisbane. I'm not just going to talk StarCraft, but also about my life a little bit. So, at the start of the year, ETL was looking like it was doing pretty well. Our manager had said something to the effect of that he would use money from his own pocket to send members of our planned LAN team to ACL events and such until we can pick up sponsors. As of right now we are still sponsorless, but certainly not from lack of effort. He... [Read More]
In case you've been wondering what happened to him. Really interesting stuff, talks about the hardships he face in Korea, what happened at Red Bull Battleground, his thoughts on mechanics, etc.
I'd like to take some time to tell you a bit about myself and my plans for the future.
2012
I made an account here to promote CanCraft, a LAN in Canberra (2nd CanCraft coming 24/2/2013!) and decided to get more involved with the community. At the time, I was a low Diamond player, and after (unsurprisingly) bad results at CanCraft I was like "Man, I really suck and need to get better." I looked for a clan with the hopes of having consistent practice partners (my only real practice partner at... [Read More]
Hi everyone, I currently help run ETL, or rather ETL's SEA division of SC2. It was formed in May or so, and I took a pretty big risk by joining it as only it's 3rd member (although this was fate. I applied for ipr but Arrival was late in getting back to my email. He eventually accepted me...a couple of days after I joined ETL.)
However, I went and recruited a few people, including 3 GMs. One of the GMs we recruited was FeartheSky (not to be confused with the ETLFearTsky currently in SEA GM,... [Read More]
So I finally hit Masters. I was under a lot of pressure to get this shit done recently. At the outset of the season all my former (well, most of them. Minimat, BearPack, Dante, Meatex, etc.) GPD peers were promoted to Masters. I was still in Diamond. Eventually RVgybyteRPR (now known as RVxReaper) (who was also promoted, and suddenly got super good) got into GM, and considering he was Diamond last season I asked him about it. He told me that he started playing on the Korean server and just... [Read More]
