Glade posted in the IeSF signup thread that he was getting better ping to NA than SEA, and a few people shared his view. I would be very interested in getting some data on this (not opinions, but raw facts), so i'd like to get some peoples tracert information
How do you do this?
Press Windows Key + R
Type 'cmd' -> Enter
This opens a dialogue box. Type in: tracert 202.9.67.254
This will run the tracert. Take note of the ping at the last hop. This is for the SEA server
At the last SOGC event in November, EsportsDaily and MPU was asked by the game creators of the popular game Chivalry: Medieval Warfare to setup a showcase for some people to test the game and have some fun. We had some cameras on site and recorded some footage which we put together into this video. If you have been curious about the game, check out some regular gamers having fun with the game.
I'll keep this short and sweet as to not take up all your time, but I am looking for some co-casters for events next year.
There are a few requirements to meet:
1. You MUST be Sydney based. No exceptions.
2. You MUST be willing to travel to local events on a regular basis
3. You should be flexible. You are going to have to work to an event schedule, and if you are unavailable for several events, it is annoying for me to have to find backups.
Saturday was MaqLan, a large gaming event in Sydney with various tournaments such as SC2, LoL, TF2 and others! It was run by SOGC, which are the guys who allowed us to run the IeSF Aus Finals from their venue, and are some pretty awesome guys.
I was at the venue to help run the LoL event with Kwan and some others but that didn't stop me from catching a ton of the SC2 event.
Just a quick blog to wish the 3 SEA players Revenant, RedArchon and Enderr good luck this weekend in what is one of the most difficult tournaments they will ever participate in! They will need to bring their A game and a little luck to get to the WCS Finals!
Last night finished up the first group stage of the Asia Starcraft 2 League, with 128 players being reduced to just 64. These 64 players will be sorted into another group stage and the top 32 will advance to a double elimination bracket
SEA had 4 teams and clans represented in the league, Flash, Xeria Gaming, Infi and ToT, and from these teams/clans the following players have advanced to the next round!
I mentioned last night I might do a quick video blog on just some general topics, such as my team, and SEA in general. If you're interested, check it out. If you aren't, that's fine too!
It's important to remember that this is purely my opinion, and it is fine to have a differing one, but please keep it civil. Insults and the like achieve nothing. If you can't watch this without getting angry or pissed off, simply don't watch it.
With TCL entering the last few weeks of group play, its time for a quick update for those of you curious about how the tournament is going for our SEA teams.
We're approaching the halfway point of TCL4, with both SEA teams having played 4 of their 8 games. Yes there is still 8 or so weeks of group play, but I thought I'd update you guys with the standings so far!:
Group A
1st. StorM
2nd. xGKing
3rd. Dhc
4th. Nw
5th. Japan
Strom are currently the undefeated team in the group, already 3-0 and still to play Japan which is looking to be the weakest clan in the group. Xeria are currently in 2nd having lost to StorM in week 1 but defeating the other 3... [Read More]
Last night was the opening match for the Taiwan Clan League Season 4, SEA representatives Xeria Gaming take on TCL3 Champions StorM, apparently the best Taiwan Clan. It was always going to be a difficult match for both teams, and for those who missed it, here is a quick writeup/recap of the games!
Whilst jogging today I was thinking about where I was a year ago and thought I'd make a blog about what I've become over the last year, and the work I've put in to get where I am today. This is more for myself and just remembering the last year, but if anyone is interested, I hope you enjoy.
Pre SC2
Before SC2 came out, I had some RTS experience playing C&C Generals at a fairly high level, being the China Strategy moderator at cncreplays, now gamereplays.org. I was never really exceptional at... [Read More]
After 8 months of Streaming on 2 Cores, I finally managed to get my Hetro Guy friends: Steve and Chris to take time out of their busy schedules of boning women to assist me with the manliest of manly conquests, Constructing a Man Machine! (Also known as a computer)
We set out around Midday on the Saturday to gather the components for the Man Machine, and settled on the following specs"
