It has been a VERY long time since I've written a blog here and (fortunately for me) a lot has happened. As some of you know, I declared a weight loss goal in early 2012. I promised myself that I would run/hop/skip until I lost a lot of 'weight'. Well, I want you guys to know that in my first attempt in around February, I was unsuccessful. In fact, after weeks of healthy eating, I relapsed and it felt like I put on more weight.
Truth is, I did. From around April-June-ish I... [Read More]
Hey guys, it's been something crazy like 2 months since I've updated with my weightloss regime.
Basically my weightloss has been going steady, I've lost around 6-7kgs (MORE IF I've JUST BEEN TO THE BATHROOM, M I RITE FELLAZ). However at the ACL qualifiers in Brisbane, I appeared to look bigger than I had before. My friends tried reassuring me saying that I just picked poor clothing to show off my loss.. but I hate that sympathetic crap. All it did was reassure me that I need to push myself... [Read More]
Hello! I know that numerically this is 'Day 4' of my exercise plan, but I've decided not to count my recovery days as a part of my plan because my recovery days would subtract around 12 days from my total, which would give me 2 weeks less to achieve my goal!
Anyway, today my legs were feeling pretty good. I rested them for around 32~ hours, after a massive KBBQ session at Jong Ga in Brisbane, and then an all-night sc2 binge with the boys.. I ended up getting to sleep around 9am on Sunday... [Read More]
Alright, so this is Day 2 of a 60~ part blog (I'm actually writing this a day behind, so realistically I am on day 3 right now) and I have to say that I'm performing a bit above my expectations.
1/Exercise.
Today's goals were to continue my normal exercise regime but there was an added twist.. I was going out clubbing that night. So basically I ran around 6 km before I left for my friend Shockwave's house.. and we did probably 1.5k~ together. It's not a huge deal I know.. and it is a... [Read More]
Hey guys, I know this is a bit late, and I was going to type it up last night but I really couldn't be bothered.
Anyway, I've decided to break down my weight loss into a few separately tiered goals.
1/ Fitness- I must be fit enough to run at least half a marathon.
- That means lots of cardio, every day if I can. I'm allowed one rest day a week (I'm thinking it will be on Sunday). Otherwise I am running a minimum of 4km a day, and 8km if I am not working and I have the time. The runs... [Read More]
I don't know if you are aware of my existence (I know some in the SEA community are) but I have been a part of the community since launch but really immersed myself around April last year. I was more of a spectator than a player for most of last year, and only recently decided to 'get good' myself.
I have to say that this decision is perhaps one of the best decisions I've made in the past 18 months. For the first time I feel a desire to achieve something. This game sparked a... [Read More]
Hi guys, I thought I'd write a blog on ACL too now that Dox is taking questions and addressing some issues that ACL had running its first ever sc2 event within the league.
Atmosphere: 9/10
Fantastic, there is nothing quite like being in a room filled with some of the best sc2 players in the country! It was great meeting a few people for the first time (Rossi, Iaguz, Phoneheha) and it was great seeing people that you'd met at other events and/or talk to online all of the time (Signs,... I hate it when people discuss balance without taking into consideration the skill of the player. Why? Because when people discuss balance there are always bias arguments about the adjustments that need to occur. For instance a Zerg player is more likely to say that Zerg is under powered and a Protoss is over powered, where in the reverse situation (Protoss on balance) assumes that both are fine. I just feel as though it starts unneccessary arguments about the game and it provides... [Read More]
