Lately I have been downloading some abandonware or old DOS games for nostalgia and to play through some recommended games that I missed growing up. As part of the requirement at www.cdosabandonware.com/ to download their games I wrote some reviews so I thought I'd share them here as well to get everyone talking about and suggesting retro and DOS games that they have played!
Thought I'd share pics of the new gear I just set up moments before typing this Before the upgrade I had the following peripherals, all getting to the end of their lives really...
Old and busted
Logitech G1
Razer Lycosa
Plantronics headset
Razer Goliathus
The new headset guarded by 2 khorne berzerkers. I wanted black so it fit the other peripherals.
The Tt eSports Theron and a mouse bungee before the PC was on, so you don't get to see the lights
For fun, I thought we could take a TV show or even movie that we like and pick the cast out of SC2SEA or your clan members. The idea is to match people up from the community who remind you of a certain TV show character, or cast it with community members who fill the same role as their TV counterpart! Have some fun with it - put as much effort in to the explanation or let us work it out for ourselves n_n Here are my efforts:
Thought I'd share my first tattoo pic with everyone. I got it yesterday thanks to CheekyDuck at Skin Deep Tattoos in Sydney. CheekyDuck has just started tattoo work and needed practice and my sister and I put our hands up. I think she did a great job and I am happy with it even if she doesn't see it as perfect haha.
Ignore my fat face

I recently got back from 5 days at the "TA Retreat" hosted by TAVoices (Spud) and it stands at one of the highlights of my time involved in StarCraft. While there were some moments to top these involving "baking" I will try not to go into detail here both to keep this read suitable for everyone and to keep from embarassing some people. Basically what it was, was a week of about 20 friends from TA/StarCraft drinking, socialising, eating junk food... [Read More]
This was intended to be a small progress report but my journey to get to bronze was much shorter than expected. No doubt aided by my shortcomings as a player in a few of my placements, it took just over two dozen matches before I was consistently playing bronze players.
This process in itself was a journey of discovery and showed a surprising capacity for build improvement. When I think of delta formation I don't imagine too many players being more experienced at it... [Read More]
If bronze league is anything like this picture suggests, I will be a happy man.
As I was having yet another competitive and hard-fought match on the Korean server with their BSG players I realised - everyone knows what Korean GMs are like. Everyone has seen their games in GSL or analysed their replays, dissecting every single one of those 400 actions per minute. What would be a lot more interesting would be the unsung heroes of the Korean ladder. We know... [Read More]
Off to a slow start. I lost my 2nd placement to a silver. I quit.

Games played, who I played, tournaments:
This game started out well, I was playing as random and I got a ZvZ which, while my worst MU, meant I had a slight advantage being Random. It wasn't until the point I started the game that it all went downhill.
I got a good baneling hit off on his mineral line as my plan worked (13 gas 13 pool early speed) and I had... [Read More]
A few months ago I made a goal to get diamond on SEA with each race. I achieved this more or less. I then set out to get masters on SEA. I gave up. Now I am going to get GM on Korea.
Lately everyone's posting blogs about getting fit and improving their play even when they are simply just fat or bad and it sickens me just reading them. So why not show them how it's done?
I will open by saying that in general I am not a fan of playing games. Sure I love to get involved in the competitive aspect and this can be seen in my choice of games over the years such as Guild Wars with it's competitive PvP aspect and of course the Blizzard RTS games. My passion lies with management or following teams, players and leagues rather than getting good at a game myself. It is a rare exception where I find myself thoroughly enjoying playing a game. Skyrim was one of the few... [Read More]
