I thought I would change it up a bit this month and instead of doing a card review I will be taking a look at Watchdogs. Watchdogs was tremendously hyped before release, advertisements were plastered on bus stops, billboards and were spammed on twitch.tv/YouTube. Since this game came bundled with the NVIDIA GTX 700 line of graphics cards I decided to give this game a look and review it.
Initial thoughts
The graphics are impressive. The game looks really detailed on my GTX 780. But in... [Read More]
taking day 9's advice i would like to extend an e-handshake to anyone that would like to possibly talk crap and play sc2. I really got into sc2 a while ago but even though i dont mind playing games by my big bad self no one else i knew did and it got a bit lonesome
So a little about myself
27 years young
Ive been playing online since Ultima Online
Always enjoyed punishing games like Diablo 2 HC pvp most recently Dark Souls an Arma 3 breaking point mod.
Back in June, I recorded a few videos with Sam about how he started playing StarCraft and the crazy things that occurred once he got good at it. It was highly illuminating for me, especially since I only knew very basic outlines of his career prior to this.
He talks in depth about training hard to get his progamer license, then joining a legendary team STX Soul (that is sadly now defunct). He also talks about what happens inside Korean Gaming Houses: the jealousy, the players who didn't... [Read More]
ME: “Hi there! I was just wondering if there was lettuce in that trolley?”
STRANGER: “Lettuce?”
ME: “Yeah, lettuce ask you a question!”
ME: “Excuse me, do you always do that?”
STRANGER (usually pretty or older lady”) “sorry?”
ME: “Do you always do what you did back there?”
STRANGER: “Do what?”
ME: “Take people’s breath away”
And there you have some of my favourite ice breakers I use at least 5+ times a day to varying success… What do I use those ice breakers for? Just for my new... [Read More]
So today, as some of you may know, SEAcraft #20 was held.
And in this weekly, the ZOOBOYZZZ were present and signed up.
Once reaching the Ro8, I had to play against TooDMing, the Chinese progamer who "360 roach surrounded scarlett" (I forgot who told me this LOL)
So then I was like, "time to get rekt…"
After getting rekt (2-0), had a little chat with TooDMing..
Was very honoured to be praised by toodming
Not gonna lie, made me blush a bit (inside)
So I decided just to do a quick blog on our recently held Ecko Esports Winter LAN 2014. This one is not as in-depth as the original blog but just gives an account on what it was like for me to organise and host, hope you all enjoy
We often believe the more we practice a skill or technique - over and over again, many times - the better we'll get. This is not necessarily true. In fact, every time you practice a technique incorrectly, you're increasing your chances of doing it wrong again. It's easy to become very experienced at repeating the same mistakes. Practice doesn't make perfect; only perfect practice makes perfect.

This blog will cover my experience with today's LAN at the Arena in Rundle St, Adelaide organised by Ecko Esports.
You know you are dedicated and hyped for your first LAN (in any game I might add I have never been to a LAN of any kind before!) when you show up and despite walking past that little door sandwiched between actual cafes two or three times you are there at least half an hour before the guys actually running the event
I mean seriously... have a look. Can you find the place? :P... [Read More]
Hey everyone, I felt like writing this today as I was in a really depressed and sad mood because of the bad things happening to my people in the Middle-East, I just want you guys to know something that not many people know about.
My name is Gevergiz(George) Shlimon(Simon) Moghaddas(Holy/Blessed) Babeleh(of Babylon). I was born in Melbourne, Australia. My parents are immigrants from a place called Urmia, Iran. I know a lot of you guys probably think now that I'm a Persian Muslim, but in fact im... [Read More]
A few weeks back, the glorious Chinny Chin Chin (Slayer) and myself decided to see who gets to Plat first on the most glorious of all servers, SEA (Kappa).
Today, after playing my first game after not playing for almost a week..
The glorious popcorn provider of SC2SEA had a few things to say:
I tend to get bored rather easily, and decided to create a blog where I can just post my thoughts, feelings, etc
The initial blog is about Ecko Esports, in particular how we began, financial difficulties, and much more. So if you get really bored and want to read an essay (you have been warned) feel free to do so.
My last blog explained the nostalgic and reflective experience of packing up my home to rent to strangers while I'm abroad training and competing in Europe for 4 months. We spoke about how I've changed in the last few years in that house, got into SC2 and grew into who I am today. I meant to post this 2nd part weeks ago, but with so many events going on and currently prioritising my practice it kinda got lost, but better late than never!
TL;DR Preface: This will be a recap of my experience at ACL Sydney 2014. If you watched the event or know the results, the only thing you're going to learn is my mentality
going into the games / coming out of the games and what I did before / after them. You're not going to find crazy drama here, sorry. That's saved for Mates of Starcraft.
For me, the event started on the Friday (day before the event) as I had to get into the apartment to check in for the team (as it was... [Read More]
This game has affected us all in some way. For me, it has forever changed my perspective of gaming and the people who play them. I am currently living in Europe in a team house. I am surrounded by people who view this as their job. Had someone told me I'd end up here I would have laughed and directed them to a mental institute.
Four years ago, I met a dude with big glasses who liked to play computer games. Its amazing how the current of life sweeps you to unexpected places and... [Read More]
There is something inherently different when playing on LAN. The desk isn’t quite right, your sound is slightly off, the monitor is bigger, your hands are cold, the chair is uncomfortable, you can’t play with music, perhaps people are speaking loudly around you. Whatever the case, its certainly a different experience. The key is knowing what you can do make do with what cards you are dealt and not assuming you will play as hot as you do at home.
Australia was somewhere that I've always wanted to visit. All the beautiful sceneries that I've heard of, the slow-paced culture that it has (compared to Singapore’s relatively pressurizing one), and everything else it has to offer, definitely made me want to travel there. And this year, I had the opportunity. Thanks to x5 and NVIDIA, I’ve got a chance to travel to Sydney!
Day One
After spending my first hour in Sydney soil, the first impression was how expensive the public transportation... [Read More]

Well i thought i would write up a Blog because well i just don't post anything. Just a word of warning though, i have a bad memory so this may not be 100% accurate.
Anyhow we booked for ACL Sydney quite a while ago because we thought it would be good to drive the short ~300km distance from Canberra to catch up with everyone.
Eventually Lardols convinced me to compete in the SC2 open bracket and we both agreed thought that it was best to get some games in at ACL so that i wouldn't be antsy... [Read More]
The Thursday before ACL was also my birthday, so to be flying out that night was going to be really hectic as I was really busy! 11.55pm came along out of no where and I was on a plane to sydney for ACL! I arrived in Sydney at 6am with no sleep, then waited for Josh (aka Runamok) to get into the airport so we can both catch the train to our hotel.
As we got to the hotel we settled in for a bit then we went and headed of to City Hunter to go practice some games, I only practiced for a hour or... [Read More]
Hello all, I am Gravity, better known as FeDe or Chiddiru. The weekend of 19th and 20th of July I got to be apart of something amazing within Australian E-Sports, ACL Sydney. This event year to date has been the biggest event for the scene since WCS 2012. Just going to write a blog about my journey over the days I was at the event and how I feel now that I am back home.
Friday 18th of July
As the end of my work day approached I was getting more and more hyped for the events that were to come,... [Read More]
Hey guys, ProzeR needs your help in choosing a good mechanical keyboard! Would love to get feedback and opinions for different keyboards.
Some options I have are the CM Storm Quickfire TK, PRO, XT, Rapid and TRIGGER <--- (which is currently on sale).. Other brands are SteelSeries 6GV2, Corsair, *i think filco*, and Razer obviously
Some thoughts when choosing are the feel when spamming the keys, and how much the keyboard costs, as well as how long it lasted for you
