So today I ran a relatively large race in Brisbane, Australia known as the Bridge to Brisbane. The 10KM track took me 1 hr 13 minutes and 17 seconds to run which I think isn't bad for my first 10KM run considering I had to be up before the sun. Next year I reckon I'll do it in under 60 minutes ... in the mean time I'm just going to rest my aching legs haha.
Hey guys, just randomly decided after waking up really late today that I'm going to stay up and stream for as long as possible, starting pretty much right now. Masters Terran, will be laddering all night, on SEA and KR. Feel free to come and watch, I want as many viewers as possible, and I'll try and stick through the length of the night. Come and invest some time into the stream if you're interested!
After playing tons of team games for more than a year, I finally decided to ladder 1v1s more seriously in 2011 Season 3. The memory of losing my 1st 1v1 game to a reaper haunted me and kept me from even considering that search button for 1s. (Yes, I was that noob) The ladder anxiety probably just escalated from then on.
But after deciding that if Supersaiyan could get to silver and then gold, no way was I going to stay in bronze. And so the journey begun.
Hey guys today I managed to achieve my first of many REAL sc2 goals, Achieving Masters Top 8.
Ever since starting long back in season 2 I've always wondered how good I could get.
To commemorate achieving this goal, I decided I would write down how I got, from the lowest depths of bronze to the higherish end of masters.
Season2:
My mate introduced me to Starcraft after he showed me a stream of Mr. Total Biscuit, thinking it was pretty cool, we rushed down to EB and quickly... [Read More]
I started playing sc2 when it came out, influenced by huskystarcraft. I watched his videeos religiously and played my placement matches. Sadly, I got silver, and didn't really touch the game again for about a year (although I still followed the scene). Then, my interest was renewed by some friends of mine and i started playing again (although they quit out of boredom soon after I started again). I set myself a goal, and that goal was to achieve masters.
I started off in Gold, and thought to... [Read More]
How could anyone deny the manly presence that is Ray? He's the man girls want and guys want to be. Talented at both Starcraft and Life, there's no circle this man hasn't dipped his hand into and come out on top.
Here's to you, Ray. Hopefully you shall be kind... [Read More]
Hey everyone I'm Patto! Currently a silver league Terran player, just looking to improve and become a larger part of the SC2Sea community. I was looking through some of the blogs that were being posted and I thought that it would have been good to look back on a blog that I had made when I get better (hopefully) and laugh at myself for being bad. So I'm using it primarily to map my progress over the time that I'm playing and to set myself goals but also to hopefully provide a good read to... [Read More]
City Hunter is considering looking into picking up / supporting coaches
essentially we can help market a coach to a wider audience thus earning them more $$$, naturally we also have the facilities (atleast for Sydney based players) for coaches to meet their students face-to-face for their lessons without revealing to fan boys where they can swiped your underwear off your clothes line.
I'm gonna switch it up here and give you a TL;DR at the start so if you don't want to read the same ol' "Omg wcs was awesome" etc then I'll hopefully save you a lot of time!
I've been to a barcraft for GSL finals (worst finals ever)
Unfortunately at the end of this week I'll be taking my redundancy at work, due to a restructure of the business and despite repeated words that they "really do want to keep me" and "they want to keep [my] social media skills", I'll be gone.
This does however free me up for more time in gaming, notably casting and even a little coaching (of lower level players, I've no illusion that I'm no where near a pro! ). So if you are in need of someone to cast an... [Read More]
Many of you know I stopped the majority of my coaching and streaming over the last 2 months leading up to ACL Melbourne and WCS Aus/Oceania. This really paid off with me winning ACL and WCS Australia. Even though I didn't perform so well in WCS Oceania and IEM Cologne the effect of 100% focus and discipline in my training was evident. That being said I'm not willing to leave coaching behind.
Coaching been a large part of getting to where I am today. It has helped me broaden my... [Read More]
So I'm currently at work having just hit the 48 hour mark without sleep. I am finding it so hard to stay awake even though I had 2 cans of V on the drive here. Does anyone have any tips as to how I should go about not sleeping at work?
Pic related, it's the closest thing I could find to how I feel.... [Read More]
Yes, the Legionnaire.
I frankly didn't know where his skill level was at but I was pretty sure he had to be good since he qualified for WCS. And it's Legionnaire.
Simple stuff, I 3 hatch LingBaned him and won the game

I used a build I learnt from lllllll (with a Queen portrait) on sc2sea chat. He claimed to be a smurf (PM me maybe, I'm really curious) and he had some interesting build so I... [Read More]
Today I attended my first ever lan event, the barcraft nz tournament 'battlecraft' or something along those lines. Absolutely fantastic event, and its set the bar quite high for other lans to follow, in the rest of this blog I'm going to do into more detail about how I did/what it was like ect, whilst trying to keep my thoughts as coherent as possible - which may be a challenge.
So basically I woke up at around 8 ish to wander down to midcity where the lan was being held. As it happens, my... [Read More]
Hi Guys,
Lately I've been thinking about the timing of the heart of the swarm release and with it coming out late this year some time i think it would be a mistake for blizzard to bring out the expansion then. The whole dynamics of the game will change and completive play will be quite random in the first year of its release. In terms of the competitive scene I'd actually like to know what the plans are for the big competitive players in sc2 (MLG,NASL,GSL etc.) , are they all going straight to... [Read More]
