Had this sitting on my pc for a while now, never got around to it getting published. Thought some people might enjoy it. Note most of the stuff in this is pretty out of date by now!

So yesterday I played like a 1 hour+ vs on NA ladder, which resulted in a RIDICULOUS comeback. Early in the game, I decided to make 1 Immortal whilst waiting for my Robotics Bay to complete.
Over an hour later, that ONE Immortal is STILL alive. He went on to quite literally survive the duration of the entire game.
I saw some tweets about our lil' LiviBee making it into Masters today.. So I wanted to enjoy the moment - checked out the VODs from her stream and the moment she realised she got Masters was one of the most heart warming things I've seen in ages! hahahaa
Since there's a major tournament coming up this weekend my sleep gets completely ruined so I can't ******* sleep atm. Instead I felt like writing up a boardgame recommendation for people who like Boardgames. I've also been watching far too much Shut up and Sit Down recently and goddammit that pair knows how to make boardgames seem like the funnest bestest thing ever.
So on thursday this week I went to a place with my brother Joshua to get our cardboard duelling on and play us some boardgames... [Read More]
I'm now gonna starting blogging some of my random thoughts from time to time.
What are our needs in life?
Most people think they want money. Lots and lots of it. They don't. What they really want is to fulfil the needs that money can buy. Everyone has certain needs they need to fulfil throughout their lives. They evolve over time and it varies from person to person.
Why do the super rich often build statues of themselves? Why did gus organised a gigantic international tournament... [Read More]
So if you haven't noticed lately, I'm currently assessing the living conditions of Dallas, TX, USA for our players from the land downunder can travel to the northern hemisphere to be in the tip top shape for their upcoming Debut at MLG in Dallas.
After a long 14 Hour flight to LAX Las Angeles International, then another 3 hours to Dallas and the time zone difference, i didn't stay awake long for the first day. There was plenty of Modern Family and Neil Perry food on my Qantas Flight to take... [Read More]
Okay, I'll try keep this short, frank, plain, blunt and to the point.
Race wars was tonight. And the entire hopes of the Protoss rested on me!
And then I lost, and there are many excuses I could make like pressure, nerves, zerg imba, and the good old "if only I did this I would have won". But the times for excuses are over. Well played tgun, congrats zerg.
In about 2 weeks on October 15, I'm going to start my HSC exams. These, if you are unfamiliar, are essentially the final high school... [Read More]
I posted this in the other blog but thought this deserved it's own blog:
ToRPezz is not "Light's Student". Please stop calling him that, people. It annoys both me and him. Pezz only took a 1 hour lesson on me backwhen he was in Platinum League, and I what I taught him was pretty much the old 3 gate expand against Terran, on an outdated map like Xel'Naga Caverns, so literally I had nothing to do with his rise to become the player he is right now. He showed very quick learning abilities during... [Read More]
I wrote this a while ago but haven't had anyone to proof-read it and as I'm embarking to Korea tomorrow I figured I'd better post it before I forget. This blog is about my experience immediately after WCS Australia/Oceania heading to IEM Cologne on August 15-20th. This part is mostly just a rundown of my feelings after WCS as well as my emotions and experiences flying to Cologne.
The trip to the airport
Ok so it's monday the 13th of August, 2012. I'm riding the train to the... [Read More]
I haven't written a blog in a while and this is something that I have been mulling over a bit so I thought I'd just sit down with a coffee, some music on Pandora and ramble on for a while. I recently started a new job and have to take a bus in to Castle Hill each morning. This gives me an hour of idle time each day where my mind runs wild and also put some thoughts into my mind.
In my first week the bus trips seemed chaotic, but by the Friday I was beginning to spot familiar faces getting on... [Read More]
I recently bought a lesson from Petraeus to encourage him to earn his dosh rather then beg for it.
As I was drinking my daily cup of tea before work today, I thought about this for approximately two minutes and have decided that I don't really want a 15 year old pretty boy to order me around and tell me what to do.So I'm going to give this lesson away.
First person who replies to this blog, that shows genuine interest in the lesson can have it from me.
Last night finished up the first group stage of the Asia Starcraft 2 League, with 128 players being reduced to just 64. These 64 players will be sorted into another group stage and the top 32 will advance to a double elimination bracket
SEA had 4 teams and clans represented in the league, Flash, Xeria Gaming, Infi and ToT, and from these teams/clans the following players have advanced to the next round!
I hope by now you've at least read about the map, or at best played it otherwise none of the rest of this blog is going to make much sense.
The idea for the contest started with nirvAnA approaching the news writing crew about making a puzzle or some other form of competition for SC2SEA's second birthday celebration, he had in mind the kind of URL guessing game that he had done for the first contest, I mentioned the idea of doing a
Do you ever experience those moments in games when one thing goes wrong, no matter how big nor small, it happens and all of a sudden you find yourself in a rather precarious position and you just don't know what to do. Now I don't know if this is just me, but it near on scares me when it happens, especially if it's in a tournament. :P
Petraeus is easily the most mannered, friendly person to ever grace the SEA server. Not once have I heard anyone speak ill of such a wonderful individual.
I mean, just look at this face;
Does that look like a person who would ever belittle you? I thought not.
Not only is does he have dashing good looks, but he makes people like Sheth look like absolute monsters who have no regard for the feelings of other players! He's even kind enough to give me tips after he throttles me in-game --... [Read More]
Over the last few days I have been chatting to DreamHack staff talking about the possibility of having a PC in the tournament area for use by an Australian player for the BYOC SC2 Tournament at DHW 2012. The top 4 players from the BYOC are given entry to the main event in which they are joined by players from all the other DreamHack events over the year (Stockholm, DHS, Valencia and Bucharest).
I have accommodation at Scandic Elmia (the best/closest hotel to the venue) that I am willing to... [Read More]
