I just wanted to bring some of the issues out of the thread, especially after the same issues came up a couple of times and I expect that to continue. I'd love if any other issues or concerns could be raised here to keep the thread clear for signups. So, here's some quick thoughts about some of the perceived issues with the league setup.
Some players are too expensive.
I think that Ninja is about where he should be, and 3.5 is what should be the upper limit for all players. Mafia, Myuu,... [Read More]
I'm completely beat after streaming 10am-1am tonight and am still live as I write this blog. I'm happy that I've been getting a lot of high-masters students so coaching has been particularly challenging and interesting. Also I've swapped to HoTS mostly so that's been a fresh change!
So its 2am, sitting here listening to korpiklaani nothing really to do, i dont feel like sc2 because its protoss hour, lost two games due to stupid zealot drops and not being ready to defend them and just plaiyng horrible. T_T I decided why not post some shit on how my goal in starcraft was going..
So basicly most of you will probably remember the stupid zerg bronze to masters post on TL and everything? it started off great was getting a promotion every 2-3 weeks ( keep in mind i played 5-10... [Read More]
It's been a while since I blogged, so I decided to write one.
So November 2012, I went to MLG Dallas and worked for Quantic Gaming as their photographer.
My first face to face encounter with them was in a suite room at a hotel that we stayed. As I entered, Gwin (the interviewer) was getting ready to interview Brandi (Brightside).
There I met Ian, the one who I've been contacting on email to make this whole thing happen, and his couple of thousands of recording equipment that he had... [Read More]
This is my first blog, I am writing this more for myself than anyone else as I need to put some words down from my mind.
I recently just returned from a 2 month holiday (binge) in Europe, which was incredible, however this is a Starcraft website so I wont bore you with my real life adventures.
A few months before I left to Europe I decided to play in some SEA tournaments for the first time, after spending a long and lonely time laddering on NA and playing in Playhems. I had some pretty good... [Read More]
I just wanted to give the SEA community an update of what I been doing while being inactive from Starcraft. One month and a half ago I moved out of Canberra chasing a dream. My dream was to join the party industry and host successful raves. So far I hosted two raves in Cartagena, Colombia and now looking at hosting a few more around the country. Because of that I havent been able to get a stable conection to play Starcraft but now finally ill be moving into an apartment in... [Read More]
I’ve been thinking a long time about making a blog, so I thought today was a good day to type some thoughts out.
I first got introduced to StarCraft in 2011 when I went to my cousin’s house and he was playing this RTS game called StarCraft 2. He was playing the campaign, but straight away I was interested because I was obsessed at the time with a game called Command & Conquer Generals. I played it so much; I used to... [Read More]
Hey friends,
The pX challenge was a clan league tournament hosted by the wonderful people over at phoenix esports, ToR and Av.ToR found itself on opposite sides of the bracket ToR really came together as a team for this and the results show it. So many thanks to phoenix esports for putting it on.
Now on to the charity stream i will be streaming for at least 2 hours at this stage i will be streaming at 7-9 AM i may stream more but at this stage that's about it. During these hours ill be... [Read More]
I am thinking of buying a camcorder to use in documentary / guide travel videos I will be making. Of course I will be using it on holidays and SC2 events too! The video function on my dslr was really terrible, looked low quality and took up so much space. Any advice?
I am leaning towards the black HERO3 now and will probably be getting it if nobody has any other recommendations. This video made by it looks amazing.
Just wanted to share a review I did of the P2532N Notebook that Gigabyte provided me with.
Dot did some sick camera work on this so I'm really happy with how pro she made the VoD look. Much better than the 360p webcam recording I would have done on my own!
I'm currently learning how to use FRAPS so will be throwing some SC2 tutorials up on youtube in the coming weeks!
Say what!?
So people paying attention to looking for clan threads or looking for SEACL team threads may have noticed a sudden influx of players dropping the FaDe tag and looking to join new clans
So it goes without saying the FaDe is now actually 100% dead and will be disbanding TT
Before people jump to conclusions there was now row or falling out etc and while some of the guys might not be willing to shout me a beer there is no ill will amoungst anybody [Read More]
So earlier today I was doing my usual laddering day when I went 0-2 against some zerg who did the same cheese, tried cheesing him 3rd game and got bo countered. Essentially that got me off on a tilt, cheesing everyone, BM'ing, etc. etc. and I stopped playing once I realized I went 1-14, lost every single point I had (from about 160+).
I'm not sure what made me overreact so much to 3 losses as I rarely get mad because I lost, however I would like to make a sincere apology to all those who I... [Read More]
I'm ******* good at procrastinating. Extremely good at it, and it affects how much I might train in a given day. I train more the closer to a tourney but that's bad, you should train a lot because you want to be as good as you can. I read about a study that concluded that negatives for failure are more motivational then rewards for success, essentially a Carrot and Stick system but inverted. The carrot is poisonous and we want to avoid eating it.
So starting from tomorrow (it's 3:30 am here... [Read More]
Hello; my name is PulSe and I represent Ninth Legion Gaming in Starcraft II. I am writing this letter of apology to address some of my recent actions. Although the actions will not be detailed here, they may however, be mentioned.
Firstly I would like to begin by saying sorry. Sorry to all those affected; IXL's management for the problems this has caused them, the general public for this eye saw and last but not least; Meta Game Gods's management , players and sponsors. I am deeply sorry... [Read More]
I know this is a few days late, but I'm basing my official SC2 new year to begin on the week of January 7th. I've been spending nice quality time with family since December 22. It'll be a while till I get a chance to hang out with them like this again so I'm enjoying it to the fullest extent. 2012 has been such a full year full of new experiences and blown minds. I feel it's exceptionally good timing that the 2012 ended around now, and eSports can take a breath to kick start 2013~
Just shitting ya. I'm only trying to appeal to the masses here!
1. Does this appeal to anyone?
Australia I love you. I really do. Your weather is nice, your beaches are pretty, your animals are terrifying in the most badass way possible and the women are, well, they are generally of an acceptable standard.
But this? Really?
What in the actual **** is this monstrosity? Do people really like this? I mean, I can foresee an occasion where a few guys are half cut and order one for... [Read More]
I wasn't sure what forum section i could put this in so ill just make it a blog,
At the moment we are having a discussion in chat box about whether or not you should be able to play in a lower level tournament if you are active with a race that is that level whilst having another account and race at a higher level.
Its my opinion that this is a form of exploiting, id be interested to hear everyone's opinion though perhaps i am clue less. i don't know if/how i can add a poll on a blog doesn't... [Read More]
Like any great story there must be a beginning. Week One of my official "Road to Masters" Campaign went off to a great start. Before we go into more detail about the week let's look at what exactly I am out to achieve.
As many of you know, I commentate a decent amount of Starcraft 2 content and have been for half a year now. Although I have seen great success so far, I have noticed my ability to commentate early game is not
Seasons greetings everybody!! Twas the season to be jolly and indeed I was. A solid 1-2 weeks with no work and little other gaming induced stress has left me feeling quite serene and relaxed!
Such relaxed feelings of sc2 since there were/are no competitions atm led me to pull out the ol' dota2 and HOTS beta, which turned out to be quite fun/good games. Prior to sc2 I used to play dota1 quite a lot for around 3-4 years, despite not getting very good at it >.< and unfortunately dota2 isn't much... [Read More]
This is a semi-long read and my opinions and might come across as too drastic to some but these are at the moment what I believe is needed to further grow the scene. Its growing well yes, but it can be better. When I talk about "growing eSports" I refer to growing the Starcraft 2 industry as a whole. Not the small subset of top players or any specific state.
1. Invest more in accessible mainstream media

Hey guys, Seffy (xJieun) here. This is my 2nd blog within a few days. I've gotten into writing them again! So I'll be writing this one expressing one of my interests, and it is also good practice I reckon.
Okay, so I have a huge interest in Korean music. There have been a few songs that I've listened to quite a lot recently, and I'd like to share some of them here. I was going to post it in the "Korean Music Discussion" thread, but it would've been TL;DR.
