Over the past month i have been going through a process to become an apprentice chef at Jupiter's Casino on the Gold Coast. I recently found out i got one of the 6 positions available. I start on June 3rd ( two weeks time ) and obviously like School like Uni Like Tafe this must take precedence over my Passion for Starcraft 2.
What does this mean for me ?
Well i wont be able to play and cast as much Sc2 obviously. I will try to continue and improve on both fronts but as i... [Read More]
May 2013, the last month of an eventful one year long-distance relationship with my girlfriend. Needless to say being the last month of solitude, I was determined to play many games of HoTs. I was also very motivated to improve at HoTs, after laying an egg in Arena LAN (no offense to Satu and Taz, they were much better HoTs players then me there), annoyed at forever watching ZvZ finals, and always feeling underrated. Also reading this Being a foreigner right now - and ACL Brisbane made me... [Read More]
But there are alot of things that are holding me back.
aside from learning timings and execution i need to broaden my play and become a more diverse player i feel.
I'm trying to find new ways to improve but often time feel very stagnant in my resolve.
What was the real transition factor for a lot of others from going semi pro to full blown pro.
how did you go about breaking down the game
how did you study
how did you practise from there
All these questions i feel ill get answered... [Read More]
I just had the longest SC2 game ever on the EU server. PvZ. Brain dead now... (Stormz I think I have enough of ladder today lol)
Game lasted 1h40 min. The ending was the most epic ever lol.
Hope all of you will enjoy this (well I'm not very high levelled so expect mistakes and facepalm moments but the ending is priceless).
So I have disapeared recently, been sort of enclosed in my room fiddling and learning how to use the Blizzard Custom UI and I have sort of come up with an alpha/beta version of what I would like to actually use and send out for casters and streams etc
The idea is to be able to present as much information as possible without attempting to clutter the screen, this is such that a newer person on the stream isnt overwhelmed but there is enough informaiton that a person watching the... [Read More]
Oh where to start so many things coming to my mind and want to tell sc2sea and share with you guys. So lets start with what I been doing outside Starcraft since my last blog back in November. For those of you who didn't read it or forgot about it here's some background. I wasn't happy with school and at that point an opportunity came up to work in my home country Colombia as an event organizer. So I moved back had a lot of fun with out first NYE party learned a lot of things you would never... [Read More]
So some of you may have noticed...
I am streaming now - and quite often...
Those who have been in the SC2SEA scene when I started casting would've probably known that I had a shitty internet back then which could not support streaming... really crippling my enjoyment and flexibility in casting.
However... Times have changed
I was lucky enough to get a brand new internet plan. Had a few guys come to the house to sort some wires out, and bam. I have Fiber-Optic internet and can now... [Read More]
I have left x5 now and wont be returning to the scene thanks all and bye
I will still be playing starcraft but in my own time and with friends, i will still be high ranked on all the ladders but i wont be playing under a team.
I am Sean 'Abyssal' Crudgington, I play for the Clan and I am now announcing the Opening of a new StarCraft 2 Group named: The Coaching Room!
I am a Platinum Protoss Player who has been fortunate enough to be able to help a few people in the BSG category but found that communicating to them individually was becoming tedious, so I created the group to help keep track of them. This sparked the idea that I could take on more people and even have other people help me out with... [Read More]
Foreword: I was going to write this last night, but my computer broke.. well to be more specific, Windows 7 broke. Had to re-install everything (and still in the process of it) but luckily I didn't lose anything important; gotta love the option to keep everything in a "windows.old" folder before the re-installation!
Yesterday, SC2 players of Adelaide got treated to having a LAN event at Arena Internet Cafe in the city centre! It was an extremely nice experience and I am... [Read More]
A love of mine has always been Counter Strike. No matter how far I've gone out of the scene or being absorbed in another gaming scene, I've always had a love for CS. Of course, Starcraft II lured me away, but secretly I still wanted to be good at CS (even though I was crap at it). Alas the CS community wasn't the best either, but I decided after several failed attempts, this time I would do it.
One of my goals in my life have always been to get in a CS:GO team. Recently, I found a group of... [Read More]
Today was a big day for me and one that I wouldn't trade for anything. It was a day where I did a lot of things for the first time. Which brings me to the problem of not knowing where to start. So I'll start from the beginning.
I wake up at 8:15am ready for a big day I eat, shower, pack my things and leave the house at 9:30 on the dot. I catch the bus and head to Arena Internet Cafe. It was my first time being on that side of the city as I've only been in Adelaide for roughly 2 years. I... [Read More]
Basically i wanna hear what kind of macro builds other protoss players around players do verses terran. Willing to try new stuff because i find all ins are good to a point where i need macro to beat the higher league players. :P
Being off racing as terran a lot recently on NA, probably the most i've played in a long time. hots is really fun especially since they are so many different strategies now and the skill curve went way up. its like a whole different game now.
And yes i finally left the sheltered world of sea and got to experience some brutal NA manners first hand. I find stuff like this hilarious and it makes playing on NA even more fun. At the end of games you're just excitingly waiting to see which way... [Read More]
I've been running SC2 events for ACL alongside Dox last year and this year as head admin for ACL Brisbane. I just let everyone know that I've 'resigned' as such. When I started getting involved as an admin I was unemployed, looking after my daughter full time, which gave me a fair bit of freedom and free time. Since returning to work fulltime in November last year, I've had a much harder time justifying the time I spent away from my family to work with ACL.
