Final Fantasy IX Mini Review


For some backwards ass reason, one of my goals this year was to play through the PS1 Final Fantasy games that I missed out on (was deprived of?) as a child. I could have worked on my grades. I could have exercised more. I could have gone out and made more friends. But this was the choice that I made. Perhaps I need to straighten out some of my priorities.

Rogue week. The post-patch rogue.


There's been a influx of Hearthstone players lately, and perhaps many never experienced the era where rogue truly ruled town. Pre-patch rogues could add weapon damage with their hero power, shiv costs 1, headcrack was 2 mana, backstab had no limitations whatsoever. Oh, and the Defias brothers were 2/3 + 2/1 champions.

Finally it's mage time after a delay of 2-3 weeks!

I've been putting in a lot of hours with mage post-patch as my beloved rogue had to move town. Mage feels quite comfortable shifting from rogue. Giving up additional hero power damage for free reign on where we want to place that 1 damage. Not confined by taunt, not confined by divine shield, not confined by freeze. So I've been playing a lot of Hearthstone recently, but for some reason have never managed to get past 2 wins in Arena. It seems that once I get up to 2 wins, my luck at drawing cards deteriorate immensely and I never get the cards I need.

It's probably a problem with my drafts, although I'm pretty sure I'm drafting ok.

Hearthstone's still a pretty fun game, just this part is very depressing.

I've been getting network spikes and stalls in game in sc2 on all servers, despite my computer being easily good enough to play sc2 and my internet being otherwise very good. I live in Canada if that matters.

Anyone had this, or found a solution?

I was just playing Arcade in NA server, to be more specific the "Aeon of the Storm" game. It was my first time to tried to play the game (so i can learn while i Play).

Post patch first impressions!


The new patch has hit for about 3-4 days now, and Rogues have to give up control of their towns back to scrubs. The Rogue nerfs feel a tad overboard, from being number 1 hero to number 9 zero. I was eager to keep going headstrong with Rogue in ranked post-patch, but after experimenting a few games on unranked it felt impossible. My Rogue spellpower deck is now defunct.
