“To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.”
-- nGen and the NRG LAN, 2011
It was very early days back in 2011 in regards to an Australian StarCraft scene, no one really knew where it was all heading. Online tournaments were the only way I could find any sort of 'scene'. This was around the time I was also accepted into nGen, which, looking back, is one of the most bad-ass group of motherfuckers SEA ever saw. Light, Mafia, JazBas and... [Read More]
I've never blogged before. I'm usually a reserved person, but I thought I'd share some thoughts and stories regarding myself and my relationship with SC2 and hopefully you guys find it interesting!
“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”
-- Launch, 27th July, 2010
Looking back, this year was probably the most significant of my life. 2010 was of course the year StarCraft 2 launched. I was a total RTS noob really, I played AoE2 and C&C:RA2 like a total scrub,... [Read More]
Okay let's do this, so I said I was going to go away for awhile, let's get into details of the whole lot, complete transparency.
Over the course of the past 4-5 months I have been in and out of the doctors, multiple appointments and a many of tests, this was due to a small lump found in my lower back, at first it was assumed to be potentially cancerous and then the further tests to my relief showed otherwise, however it had the ability to grow and become a problem down the track, so... Sup guys! As some of you may know I left Fray yesterday and since I've been with the team for the entire lifespan I thought I'd write something up to explain my decision.
But first I want to say that my experience with Chadmann, Fray and before that Carnage has been amazing. I remember when Chad messaged me in SC2, almost 2 years ago now(?) asking me if I wanted to join Carnage at the recommendation of EdgE. I was pretty surprised, as I had only just started my journey into esports but Edge... [Read More]
I'm just writing this short blog to give everyone some info on what has happened with fray. So there isn't all this Skype he-said-this chit chat going on.
TLDR, fray has had some serious issues with sponsorship, lack of management (I'm still in the process of having internet connected at my new house) and mis-understandings between members. I really need to get to Skype and sort this out, but my phone is barely able to load the program, I live in such a poor area for reception... [Read More]
So, the team I play for (in League of Legends) just qualified for regionals and Riot Oceania did a writeup. They put up a blurb and whatnot and a bunch of stuff. Yada yada, here's the link:
However, they omitted and rephrased a hell of a lot of my stuff, after asking me to heavily elaborate, especially about WCS 2012 (which is a touchy issue for me). Just for the hell of it, here's the unedited version for you guys to compare. So, without further ado:
So a while back a little zerg called stormz won his first (and only mind you) tournament, the following shots were fired in my direction...

Last weekend 3 Exile5 members competed in the SYF Summer LAN over in Melbourne. The event was held at Mid City Internet Café right near the heart of Melbourne. We had our very own x5.Pig take home first place which involved a trophy and $400! Over the weekend each member experienced some memorable moments and here are each of their favourites!

On the first night Armi, Stormz and I sat down in a fine restaraunt to a succulent chinese meal. The conversation... [Read More]
If you've always wanted to hate life but never quite managed, this is the game for you. A friend forced me and my brother to play cat mario (an unfair mario game) at a lan and my brother made this for retaliation. It's beautiful but also soulcrushing. It's also free, link to the download below.
Coming up this weekend is the Natural Selection 2 World Championship Finals! Hosted in the ESL TV studios in Cologne (that's right, where the IEM SC2 Cologne tournament was hosted!) the top 4 teams who have made it through to the semis will battle for the trophy and the glory of being NS2 world champions!
Titus Gaming, Saunamen, Legendary Snails, and Godar have fought their way through - and with some crowdfunding from the NS2 community and some generous assistance from the creators of NS2... [Read More]
I know some of you won’t read this all so I will say this overarching comment before I jump into it!
“If you want StarCraft II to flourish within ACL in 2014 – if you want more content – if you want better production and bigger events – then I need your help to achieve that.”
I do invite you all to read this however as it will give you a better insight into my plans in 2014 and how together we can bridge the gap between the
Hi everyone! Recently I managed to get my hands on one of the new cards from our sponsors over at NVIDIA and Gainward, the GTX 780 Phantom GLH (Goes like Hell) 3gb. I have had a great time going through the in’s and out’s of the card along with tinkering with all the different settings. So I thought I would share my experience and give a bit of a review on the card!
So many of you may have watched my stream in the past few weeks. I've been streaming quite regularly. I've finally found the right times where my internet doesn't lag up and found the right settings to make the stream look good! One of the things that I've really been motivated to do recently is streaming. I was able to get in touch with the Hong Kong StarCraft 2 Community (Hence the Chinese speakers on my stream), and it's been really fun to not only play with people from my own culture, but... So this will be a fun post, to start off I would like to apologise, apologise to all those people who were actually trying to help me amongst the trolling, I reacted badly at the time and I am truly sorry for this.
Onto the good stuff now, so as of today I am unemployed, so I am going to try and make a real go at full-time streaming coupled with sc2 and an event weekend here and there of WoW and maybe some morning streaming of it to.
So the plan is as follows:
Regular Streaming Schedule... [Read More]
I am moving house, no internet for a few weeks. Internet folks seem to think it'll be about 2 weeks..
Few people have asked me things about fray etc and anyone that needs to find me for ESL TC matches please speak to fenner or Miles, if they can't help you out then they can msg me. I'll be around when I'm at work etc but be good while I'm away
After our informal departure from up and coming team IXL, aka Ninth 'e-Sports Monopoliser/Raking in the Big Dolla/Extremely Manner' Legion, and after long discussions with previous members of the IXL Aesthetics Crew, I have decided to announce the creation of XL, the Tenth Legion.
Our name, XL, derives because everything about us is Extra Large. To watch our gameplay gives any male an XL boner. To admire our aesthetics is to provide any skinny pleb with XL hope. Our egos are XL. Our bodily... [Read More]

I'm sure some of the older members of this community would know who I am and what I did before. If you don't... almost 2-3 years ago, I first started commentating on SC2SEA... I never really got anywhere near professional shoutcasting because of not having the internet at home to stream, being a student at a pretty academically competitive school, and also being in a city that hasn't put much emphasis on SC2. I decided to end my commentating 'career', if I may, when I... [Read More]
NairX has been around the sc2 scene for a period of time now. But as the clan leader, I still have a lot of things to learn. But oh well, now is not the time to talk about this. We would like to announce that Totodile has joined NairX in its journey to dominate both the SEA and NA server.
Okay, I have been with TPG for 4 years and as of the last 3 months every time I hit peak hours ( 3pm-9pm Daily and Saturdays and Sundays usually the entire day ) I can't watch streams without them constantly lagging, Twitch, Youtube, Others.. ( Wife watches Tenplay and other associated TV crap ) They just pause every 5-10 seconds and it's becoming a joke.
Even watching Youtube and Twitch vids, streaming music, it just retards out.
I have run ping tests, speed tests, done all of the TPG... [Read More]
