When I first started playing StarCraft ladder back in Wings of Liberty I set myself a goal. I wanted to get to Platinum league.
Me with my 18 (or lower) APM... a loss streak of 52 games before my first win (true story - my first win triggered a 10 game winning streak. What up what up, another ACL means another blog from me and since I'm such a long winded ************ it's gonna be a long one (as if you'd expect anything less).
First of all, I'd like to talk a bit about ACL Sydney last year, cause I didn't do a blog about that one. Reason being how ******* depressed I was for like a few days after it. So because talking about how shit my previous ACL experience was is kinda important to the story of this one, I'll talk a bit.
So this week started my new routine of having at least 2 focused replay analysis days. The analysis days are there for me to go over each game find the 3 first mistakes in a game, regardless of the result.
The mistakes are categorised into 3 aspects: Macro, Micro or Scouting. They are broken down into the following format.
Macro: Any error in the game caused by not following the macro cycle. Inject, spend larva, build (infrastructure, upgrades) spreed creep
So these guys want to fite it out... I don't know why, I mean - Wally already embarrassed Ryan at LAN and Petrify lost a ******* map to me, how good can he be?
So im actually quite happy right now, i have finally got gm on north america it may not seem like much but to me its been my goal for so many years now and i could never get it because of tilting / rage quiting etc etc, JUST NOW! i finally ****** got it.
It may not seem big to many players in the scene but to me getting gm is just, im so happy right now haha. 1 week and a half back and i have achieved a goal i could never get in 3 years.
Hey all, so over the weekend I attended my very first ACL. It was located at The Edge, it was a nice venue, a little small and very hot, haha, but nonetheless a great space to watch some amazing games and meet some amazing people.

I've just sat for my finals. And there is a high possibility I am going to fail out of my school. With the passing grade being higher than usual (partial thanks to the student cohort), I have no one to blame but myself for not seeing that I was well and truly prepared. It is with great sadness to announce that the BSG Weekly Open is going on hold due to lack of players in Bronze Silver and Gold wanting to play / being able to play.
Over the past 4 months i have seen a steady drop in players attending the BSG and recently a plummet to sub 8 players signing up for 3 weeks in a row. Alot of this is due to heaps of Promotions to higher teirs and also the fact we gamers live full lives... [Read More]

Overall I had a great time casting the Rising star tourney with Insano. The brackets went along incredibly smoothly I can't really think of any issues of the top of my head apart from my own casting! Yesterday I decided I wanted to do a video of my reactions to my wins and losses throughout the tournament. So I did. Not the greatest quality video I admit but I'm working on it. Might start to make more content in the future. Either way I'm probably gonna start streaming more regularly, I'm hoping for 10 hours a week so I'll try put up a schedule for that once I get into it.
