I only became a part of this community last year. While I had known that the scene existed for a while I had never really attempted to become a part of it and had no idea what it was really like. So come the start of 2015 I decided to start playing in events. I came to sc2sea, which I had heard mentioned a few times as the place to go for Oceanic/SEA players. I started playing in tournaments and just generally interacting with people and very quickly felt like a part of the community.
This is a blog I've been waiting to make in a while.
I would like to thank everyone who believed in me and helped me in one way or another. The many #nem4gm and other encouragements etc etc.
Yes the frenzy started 3-4 weekends ago when my smurf aka alternate account was close to masters mmr. Then I failed. Only to try again the next weekend... swinging both my alternate and main account to top 3 with winning streaks only to be followed by losing ones. One word it was very tiring.... [Read More]
Been a rough day... hmmm delayed hatch delayed pool?
After a mad drone chase denial etc etc this managed to go up
Scout probe did Chase proud... scouted the entire map as well to ensure no hiddens as well... I guess just have to ensure no nydus now.
But one moment of not looking, saw the nydus go up asdf
So I sent a small counter force to his main. I also intentionally targetted the nydus because he is not going to go home.
He sends all his drones into the nydus to... [Read More]
For those of you who don’t know me, hello my name is Brad. I am the eSports Manager of StarCraft II for the Australian Cyber League (ACL) and for South East Asia’s World Championship Series (WCS) Qualifiers. I’m 23 years old and I’ve been doing this kind of stuff for a few years now. Hopefully I’ll be
So Enak was sent as the ace player for some clan war (him representing Luck13, against some American clan/team), and apparently Enak being as based as he is, just rekt the guy off the new ladder map. And as shown below...
Please follow @VBseaEnak, he just made a twitter! asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf asdf
As you might be well aware, we are half way though the year and more then halfway though a school year.
I have reached the critical end of my schooling, for the time being.
Considering i managed to clock up 320 games on ladder this season, its fair to say that starcraft is suffocating my schooling, (and has been shown by my C+ average) thus I am uninstalling starcraft and disappearing from gaming for 4 months until all my exams are done (and hopefully passed)
Think it's time to celebrate this dude! Loses a heck load on ladder, proceeds to win Friday Fun Night #4. So hyped to see him perform well in more tournaments!
My experience in Intel Extreme Masters Sao Paulo was extremely fun unfortunately, I didn't win a game but still made it to the second round with a walkover in the first. This was my first big tournament and I'm happy with my effort.
Round of 32:
In the first round I had to vs Bistork, a player from Hong Kong, Unfortunately he didn't show up till PiG and myself started playing in round of 16.
Round of 16: Game1: I came up against one of SEA's finest, Exile5 PiG. In the first game
For the few that actually miss me and actually still remember me, you will probably also remember the SC2 IS DEAD blog I made sometime ago. From that fact, guess what game was I playing during the time I was inactive. Yeah sure I touched this game a couple of times to play a couple of 1v1s but aside from that I was pretty damn inactive, so is my clan apparently.
So now what? I am planning to come back to SC2 but I just can't find that reason to... [Read More]
Anyone who wants to randomly invite another player on SC2. Ask nicely AND STOP spamming or BM-ing AND recognise that every player has the right to say no and just accept it.
Sample of one such spam invite/request :
I know some of these guys have NO HOTS and just wants someone to invite into party to play the fuller version of the game. Does not give the right to demand it.
FYI, I don't know this guy, never talked/played with him ever/not even in our group chat. Makes me wonder... [Read More]
Finally it's mage time after a delay of 2-3 weeks!
I've been putting in a lot of hours with mage post-patch as my beloved rogue had to move town. Mage feels quite comfortable shifting from rogue. Giving up additional hero power damage for free reign on where we want to place that 1 damage. Not confined by taunt, not confined by divine shield, not confined by freeze. I've heard some people complain that mage is weak because of the hero power, but I have to disagree. Mage shines because of its... [Read More]
Ninja lost to Pezz in a game.
Things would never be the same.
Pezz approached with the offer of a shake of the hand.
Ninja declined, he wouldn't meet Pezz's demand.
Instead he climbed down from the stage.
When you looked into his eyes, all you could see was rage.
Later that day, he could be seen in shame.
He let everyone know "Protoss is lame".
This isn't Wings of liberty, was his claim.
In Heart of the Swarm, Protoss wasn't as tame.
Was that just an excuse, or was Blizzard to... [Read More]
Today I tried a new video marketing campaign with my Singapore review site. I wonder how it will go...
Found a talented voice actor who does Morgan Freeman impersonations lol! And got him to read like a .. cheerful instagraming girl's review so the contrast is quite funny. The place being reviewed is a cafe in Singapore..
Which voice actor should I get next? Who do you wanna... [Read More]
The title of 'real Pet' sits with me, after Petraeus shamefully lost 2-0 to me in our last battle for the title. Now recent developments have put us both into the same group at ACL Melbourne. I couldn't be happier having #fakepet in my group.
It doesn't matter how much #dedication #fakepet has, he will never take the title back off me. My zvz is too good for fake pet to even take a map off me anymore. He has no chance. Thus, I propose that whoever wins in our group stage... [Read More]
Whats up everybody, for those of you who know me pretty well you might know that I'm into to 'pick up'. A lot of negative connotations come along with this, but the videos that I've watched to help guide and teach me are honestly the most ******* intelligent shit I've ever witnessed. Most of what is taught in the video's aren't step by step 'build orders' if you will on how to pick up girls, but is more focused on improving yourself and being driven to achieve what you want in life.
I feel like these are the guys to watch out for since they have been the strong title contenders throughout 2012 for the major LANs in AUS. mOOnGLaDe, PiG and MaFia are the most hardworking zergs in SEA while KingKong has the experience and knowledge having trained in the StarTale house (although I feel if he doesn't practice due to his studies, he will struggle towards the end of the year). I would be surprised if it wasn't one of... [Read More]
