NA/SEA Servers Ping and Tournaments

A few Australian players have encountered some serious issues with the most recent "SEA only" Masters Cup due to the fact it was being held on the NA server. The reason the tournament was initially moved to the NA server was because SEA became too laggy for the majority of SEA, however that issue was fixed long ago. Currently, the issue seems to be reversed, I can speak on behalf of the majority of SLCN saying that we all get at least 1 second delay to NA, rendering it unplayable in tournaments.

This can create several issues, such as when a SEA resident living in NA refuses to play on the SEA server (even though they have a better ping there than Australians) because they get a clear and distinct advantage if their opponent has 1sec+ delay, and then have none.

I propose we move SEA only tournaments back to SEA, I've created a poll on the issue to gauge what people think. Please however only vote on the poll if you are going to post a traceroute to the servers to show which server gives you better ping. To do this, visit https://us.battle.net/support/en/art...g-a-traceroute for instructions.

Here's mine:
