SC2SEA.COM's 2v2 Open #01

Hello Everybody!

This week, 2v2 tournament is back again! With more PLACES! The tournament now cater 32-teams instead of 16-teams. So join and hopefully win some prizes!

Also, updated the map list with new 2v2 maps!

The 2v2 Open #02 is a 32-team event.

Details

Date: Thursday, 3rd of March, 2011.
Time: 9pm AEST (Melbourne, Australia) / 6pm SGT. Fixed world clock.
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: The tournament is open to everybody as long as it is a 2v2 team.

Please put you and your teammate's name as the team's name. Thank you. Eg. BakaInuZergtastic
Live-Stream: Live streaming and commentating will be available at; Unknown as of yet.
Prizes: $20 dollars per team, this means $10 dollars per person (Unless someone wants to hog the whole prize).
Battle.net Chat-Channel: "sc2sea2v2".

Rules and Regulations

• All results must be PMed to BakaInu.974 in-game.
• Both players in each team must be logged into SCII SEA region 15 minutes before their match-up. Teams who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified and their opponent will be given an automatic win.
• Matches will be played as a Bo1 with the exception of the semi-finals and finals; which will be played as a Bo3.
• A replay-pack from the winner of the 2v2 Open must be sent to Zergtastic@yahoo.com.au.
• Winner of the 2v2 Open is required to send the replay pack within 5 days of winning the tournament or else his/her victory shall be deemed void.
• Spectators will be allowed, however permission must be granted by both teams in the current match-up. Referees and casters will also be allowed to spectate.
• If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win. If a teammate disconnects in the middle of the game, the player have to decide to carry on alone, or forfeit the match unless the teammate disconnects in the first 2 minutes.
• Any disputes will be handled by the 2v2 Open admins after reviewing all associated replays.
• Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.

Map List

The first map of each round is pre-determined and outlined in the following list. The losing player of the semi-final and final match will decide the subsequent map. The map pool is as follows:

Ro32: Khaydarin Depths.
Ro16: Gutterhulk.
Ro8: The Ruins of Tarsonis.
Semi-Finals: Red Stone Gulch.
Finals: Omega Sector.

Brackets

Brackets are automatically generated when the tournament begins and will be posted directly to this thread so you will see who your opponent is, with ease, throughout the tournament. When the brackets are created, it is your sole responsibility to find your opponent, their character code and add them in-game and begin your matches.

Prizes

$10 for each person, hence $20 per team. Need I say more? :P

Pleasure ensure you have your correct SEA SCII name and character code in your sc2sea.com profile, which can be found here. This will help reduce any problems people may face when having to search for their opponent's character name & code.

Is sign up actually open? It has said that it is open here for a while now but its not in the tournament list and the link provided here just goes to the 2v2 #1 page.

Am I missing something?

Guys if you do not wish to name your team in the PlayerA/PlayerB format, you can use custom team names BUT you have to include who is in the team in your team description so we know whos in your team like del has done otherwise your team will be removed.

So please follow the instructions.
