After losing to a couple of 6/7 pools (mainly through silly decisions of my own) I started wondering if anyone alters their build once they see the 6 pool on the way? I am starting to think I might just 10pool in most of my ZvZ's now. Anyone got any other suggestions.
This takes some practice but all you have to do is march your drones around until you can get a surround and kill of his lings, if they 6/7 pool you, they are at a huge disadvantage as by time the next round of lings hit you have a spine and lings of you own, then a min or 2 later the match will be over as you have your units marching in his front door killing his units, and on for the win.
I am not perfect at it, i still lose occasionally to this but it generally works for me and i have fast expanded.
Sometimes with close spwans you have to cancel your hatch, but you are at a huge drone advantage anyway after you stop it.
if ur in silver and u see 6pool just be a twat and build a pool as soon as u scout it and then hide ur drone then spine rush while he is attacking u :P (not the best advice)
yeah, righto. I might try that a little more Hybrid, if I fail at it I might post a replay or something. ZvZ is the only matchup I seriously struggle against.
From what I gather a 10 pool would actually be the wrong choice, because your going to hold it off with drones, a 10 pool would give you significantly less drones by the time a 6 pool hits than if you were going for something more standard.
I might have no idea what i'm talking about tho :P
If it matters: 15pool into blings or roaches (Most of the time roaches).
If it doesnt matter: 15hatch into roach/infestor.
Oh, and done drone scout. If you REALLY cant go without it, it has to be early enough to scout the opponent if they for if they are rushing and early enough to allow you to 10pool. If you 10pool vs a rush, oftentimes, you just win.

Lings pop from 10pool just as the opponent's 6pool lings arrive.
most zvz is roach wars if played properly. you can try the below strats to prop up your win percentage.
1. 6 pool all in with 1 or 2 spines
2. 8 pool all in with 2 spines
3. 10 pool, then queen and lord+nonstop lings
4. Offensive stealth hatch with spine crawler push(great on blistering sands if not detected. good on steppes with ling support from main hatch.
if you see 6 pool, just make a 12 pool. your lings pop just when they reach your base most times.
I like that flowchart, especially with the custom build for scrap. People should be altering their ZvZ based on this sort of thing more often, rather than blindly thinking "well I saw on day9 a fast lair build, so ill do that!" on every-single-map.
go 13pool, scout early for cheese and prepare to micro a lot.
out-micro the fool and win due to stronger economy

if no cheese, then i usually go ling bane with above-average micro. i win around 95% of my z v z's haha
