Parting's Immortal Sentry
Hay guys today i'll be writing up an immortal sentry build done by Startale Parting. This build is very macro taxing and shouldn't really be attempted until you have at least masters level macro
Build Order
So lets go over the build order
9 pylon in main - this is to counter any early pool without mass losses and to transition
3 chronos on probes - at 11 first should be on 3:15 game time meaning the 2nd should be on 13 and at 3:35, the 3rd is asap when you have the energy
16 nexus - rally the 15th probe to your natural
17 forge - use the same probe that built the natural as to not disrupt mining time
17 pylon on low ground in the wall off
gate then cannon then to the tower with the probe
for general reference zerglings pop in standard play at 3:30 so this build is safe to any normal build if you are early pooled you should see the lings coming from the watch tower
take 2 gas
first unit = stalker after scouting 3rd - this means after you have built your cannon go scout that 3rd if it isn't down by 4:30 they have a gas in which case you can assume you are being attacked soon, the reaction to any zerg gas build that i do is simple go Stargate to counter anything cannon your front and get sight of your base for any nydus attempts. If you defend his aggression you should win no matter what aggression it is. Now if you scout his 3rd you can assume its a normal game, so get the stalker to deny those overlords hide the robo if you can. Information is key in starcraft 2.
5:30 robotics then 3rd assimilator - for this you have to get your cyber down as soon as that gate is finished and its super important you do. All your chrono's through this time should be going onto probes to get your economy going. Also from here on all chrono's should be on immortals
Sentry then immortal and +1 - the forge shouldn't be chronoed at all in this build if you chrono that you have missed a chrono somewhere. Make gateways as you can up to 8 for the attack. When you make 2nd immortal make the 4th gas
when 3rd immortal pops stop probe production and attack
rally wrap prism
NB:- should have 8 gates, should be perfectly max saturated on both mineral lines and have 4 gas with 3 workers in each.
--Maximum saturation per base is 20 workers on a 8 mineral patch base. 2.5 workers per patch for maximum 2.0 for minimal.
The Attack
I know what your thinking I make units and I attack, not quite there's a few things you need to consider, first off backstabs wall off with a pylon after bringing one or 2 probes out with you ( I bring 2 as its easier to not worry about losing one) second the wrap prism is for microing units back not for warping in.
Ok so what units do you wrap in with 3 immortals you want 8-9 zealots and forcefield some units in, generally if you aim to forcefield out you will get a few in. Also because you are focusing completely you should make perfect forcefields, if you need help with this I recommend turning the build grid on and using that to help practice force fielding.
