So I'm hoping to start streaming at some point, but I'm having some audio issues, primarily, my mic doesn't come through the stream. If I'm on Skype with friends for instance, their audio all comes through the stream, but my mic doesn't. They can still hear me on skype though. Not sure if this is a skype issue or a xspit issue.

Hoping there are plenty of xsplit xperts out there

I am fairly new to it but make sure you have the correct microphone selected (Tools - General Settings - General Tab). You should see an audio section with a drop down box which you can select line in, stereo mix and any other microphones your computer has. To hear your microphone on stream you have to select it there.

Check this setting in your Xsplit settings:



Set that to what your Mic input is set at, and you should be all good to go!

I would say invest in Virtual Audio Cables as the muxing on x-split can be rather buggy

Actually x-split handling of the audio is kinda fine and simple to me. Just set which one is the microphone and the program streams both the stereo mix and microphone. VIA is fine once you learned how to set it up but I hate the fact that there is a slight lag in the sound when using it.
