+ [Interview with Bielsko pre-game] +

So you've earned yourself quite the reputation of being someone who has unorthodox but really solid, strong builds. However, do you think that because of your fame, players would have developed strong counters to your play style and render it ineffective, just like how Spanishiwa's Z play style was eventually countered?
I used to be a standard forge fast expand player in PvZ but I came to the realization that playing standard against a race that is designed to be reactive is the worst thing you can do. I just don't think the economy boost of a faster nexus is worth losing entire map control for such a long period of time. The great thing about my build is it is very flexible and there is no "hard counter." The zerg has no way of telling exactly how many units you are going to make and once you get your expansion semi-saturated then you will be able to support the 4 gate production completely, hence you will be making maximum amount of units to defend any counter attack.

Would you consider yourself as the best Protoss on SEA atm, just like how some others have thought of you?
It is very close between me and Yang, unless Roz proves otherwise today in our PvPs , but we both have very different styles so it is hard to tell. Yang has had some very good wins in recent tournaments, so statistically he is a better player than me. Pinder is also an amazing protoss, gogo POO build!

What do you think of your 3 opponents today? Who will be the easiest / most difficult for you and why?
I think Rev will be the most difficult match, because PvZ is a really hard match-up. TBH I have never seen Roz play, but PvP is very skillful now with the nerfs to 4 gate so we will definitely see some good games.

Any final words/shout outs?
Shout out to Targa for making these games possible! Special thanks to Nirvana for organizing the event!

+ [Interview with Roz pre-game] +

So, I'm a little confused as to how you got roped in to this drama, I thought it was between Targa and Bielsko! Did nirvana pull you in for these grudge match? Or do you really have a grudge to settle with Bielsko?
The original drama was definitely because TargA and bielsko, there's no doubt about that. TargA is currently in Norway and will not be back until end of Jan. / early Feb. So me and rev decided to step up and play in his place (you may not understand the logic there, we actually don't too). As for whether I have any grudge with Bielsko, the answer would be no, none at all. In fact, I don't even know him and never played / seen him play.

Bielsko has proven himself to be a formidable player with unique builds. Have you done your homework about his play style or are you going in blind?
As far as I know, he has yet to really win anything so I don't know if you can call him to be a proven formidable player. Also, being unique and being formidable are completely different things. I wanted to do a bit of homework for this but been too busy lately to, so I'm going in blind on this one. As you've probably noticed, I haven't really been around the last 3-4 months. It's not because I'm training on another server, it's because I've been too busy with work to play haha.

How do you fancy your odds against Bielsko? Is it going to be a easy 3-0?
As for my odds against Bielsko, I'm pretty confident going in this. PvP has always been 1 of my better match ups and as far as I know, there haven't been much change to the match up. I'm guessing I'm going to win 3-1 but like I said, I don't really know him so I actually have no idea whether he's any good or not.

Any final thoughts /shoutouts?
I'd like to have a shout out to all the guys in inFi, especially TargA and Rev. Rev, you definitely missed out on the deal I offered you! And I would like to use this time to welcome JazBas and Jokes to inFi! ^_^

+ [Interview with Revenant pre-game] +

So, I'm a little confused as to how you got roped in to this drama, I thought it was between Targa and Bielsko! Did nirvana pull you in for these grudge match? Or do you really have a grudge to settle with Bielsko?
Well the original grudge match was between TargA and Bielsko. He's stuck back in Norway all the way till Feb and I thought it would be best for both Roz and I to take over his match because TargA was really keen on it; he just didn't have the opportunity to play it out. I don't have any grudge with Bielsko though, since I barely know him.

Bielsko has proven himself to be a formidable player with unique builds. Have you done your homework about his play style or are you going in blind?
I'm actually going in blind into this matchup, and the 'consolations' I had was that I heard he beat players like Enderr and his PvZ is pretty strong etc, and that his playstyle is very unique etc. Well, hearing that is quite fun since I'm aiming to become a player with unique playstyles as well, so it'll be good to experience a unique P!

How do you fancy your odds against Bielsko? Is it going to be a easy 3-0?
I think the scoreline may be 3-2 in anyone's favour since I haven't played against him much, and I know that he's one of the protosses that is progressing very fast, so I'm expecting a hard series!

Any final thoughts /shoutouts?
Shoutouts to TargA(this one's for you!) and inFi, as well as our new members JazBauss and Jokes! ;D

+ [Interview with Azz pre-game] +

So, I'm a little confused as to how you got roped in to this drama, I thought it was between Targa and Bielsko! Did nirvana pull you in for these grudge match? Or do you really have a grudge to settle with Bielsko?
So basically i suggested they invite bielsko because without light, there were no protoss being invited into the tournament which I felt was disappointing.
Then essentially all the protoss jump on the band wagon of wanting the invite by saying 'my achievements > yours etc.. pinder comes to mind' other players also mentioned that they were a better candidate that bielsko etc.*

Since I don't rate the sea protoss very highly it seemed that alot of people were saying nonsense. What was very disappointing however is the lack of depth some sea players have shown, yes they can play macro well but they can't seem to beat weird builds very often (bielskos ancient beta builds) which in my opinion are not that difficult to deal with.
Bielsko has had very good results, so I thought he would be a good choice since light being the only protoss retired.

Bielsko has proven himself to be a formidable player with unique builds. Have you done your homework about his play style or are you going in blind?
Also I don't need to do any homework about bielsko, he isn't a strong enough protoss to bother analyzing his play.*

How do you fancy your odds against Bielsko? Is it going to be a easy 3-0?
I can just use 3 gate robo/blink and probably not drop a game in the bo5, he will need to hide a pylon somewhere or cheese to win. Of course, playing this way is incredibly boring so we'll see.

Any final thoughts /shoutouts?
In the end we are contesting the best australian protoss title, if any other aussie protoss wants in they should challenge the winner with similar rules.

UPDATED with results, replays, VODs! (and Azz made it to participate too!)

So, after over 3 hours of grueling non-stop action, the dust has settled and the grudge fights are over. Many of the games were pretty entertaining, the Revenant-Bielsko series is definitely worth watching to see how Revenant gets smoked by the Bielsko-style PvZ (Gateway/Cyber into Nexus into 4Gate into Zealots pressure) in Game 1 and how he learns from it in the subsequent games!

And after the previous SEA Fight with PiG trying out some BM with spelling out Azz's name with Hatcheries, we would expect some more BM in these series, and if that's the sort of things you like, check out the Bielsko vs Roz series Some /dance zealots and ragequits there!

Azz's games against Bielsko are of course not to be missed, with his confident declarations in his pre-game interview, which if you've forgotten, let me refresh your memory:

Will Azz be able to follow through with his boast as to 'not drop a game in the Bo5? Watch the games to find out!

+ [Results in here for people who are too lazy to watch] +

Revenant beats Bielsko 3-2
Bielsko beats Azz 3-2
Roz beats Bielsko 3-2

VOD here, with crAzerk and SatuSPR casting!
Or if you don't want to hear my annoying voice or the leet SatuSPR casting, you can always grab the replays here.

That's all folks! If you want to challenge someone for $50 in the next SEA Fight, do PM nirvAnA to let him know! See you next time!
