While waiting for sponsorship for the next SEASL, our popular community opens will resume starting this Wednesday at 7pm SGT. The only sc2sea tournament with no restrictions and open to everyone, expect great games, casting and all the fantastic things you have come to expect from COs since its inception!!

Important:There will be a slight change in the format with there being a $100 prize pool final at the end of the month instead of weekly prizes so it gets linked on TL. So the winner of CO#16 gets an achievement badge on the site and is directly seeded into the semi finals of the $100 tournament at the end of the month, where he will battle it out with the other 3 CO winners and semi finalists.

FAQ - New players please read this before asking the admins anything.
Q) When do I begin my RoX matches?
A) Unless I have asked you to wait so I can bring the streamer/caster into the game, please begin your game(s) immediately.
For the first round, official start time is 7pm SGT, if the brackets are out earlier, you can play your match first if BOTH players agree but its not mandatory. Walkovers commence 15 mins after official start time. So 7.15 for first round.

Q) I'm ready for my RoX match! Where is my opponent?
A) If the bracket hasn't been updated, it means your opponent is still in-game on his current RoX match. If you're curious and want to speed things up for yourself, you could always add your future opponents and check their match history/status.

Q) I can't find my opponent?
A) Their battle.net name and character code should be in their sc2sea.com profile, if it isn't, try finding them via the chat channel. If you have no success tracking them down, please wait 15minutes before messaging me informing me of the scenario and I will DQ the player.

Q) What map am I on?
A) Map list is posted at the bottom of this post. Click "Read More". To find the GSL maps, go to create game, then enter GSL in the search box.

Q) Hey, my opponent DC'ed, but he's back online, what do I do?
A) If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the player who did not disconnect to decide whether the match will be either: A) replayed, or B) forfeited.

Second Map for Semis/Finals: Loser picks from current Ladder map pool
Third Map for Finals: Loser picks from current Ladder map pool
Game Format: All games until the semi finals are best of 1.
Semi finals will bo3, Finals will be bo3 or bo5 depending on the time, casters,players etc)

Introducing BLOGS & Articles for sc2sea!!
By popular demand, i have added blog functionality to sc2sea. As its a new feature i will leave at the top left of the site but as time passes it will be moved somewhere to the middle-bottom left, depending on its popularity. So what are you waiting for, go create a blog now!!

Everyone will now have the opportunity to blog! I realised there were alot of people either

• 1) Posting self promotion stuff
• 2) QQing
• 3) Imbalance whining
• 4) Flaming
• 5)Bragging.

Instead of deleting all these threads there is now the perfect place for it... BLOGS!! Well but seriously, i do hope that it is used more constructively, like posting personal "blog" material like what i have done. Or maybe charting your own personal journey to diamond, or ur weight loss regime, you new starcraft clan, cool stuff like that which people like to read.

We will try to exercise lots of leniency as we want to give you your own personal space on the site but of course things like "malicious attacks on others", "offensive/racist/pornographic", "advertisment/spam" stuff will not be tolerated, neither will poor few sentences blogs or posting again just to bump your blog. "Trolling" or "trashtalking" or creative story writing are generally not that bad if they were in blogs, so use your common sense guys and enjoy the new feature! Feel free to post all your random/non-General-thread worthy topics there too

Also, the article layout has been completely pimped up and updated so do check out the articles in the forums at the bottom left!

You should now notice some advertising on the site. I have had a long battle with myself not to put Ads up and im actually quite proud i have not over the last 8 months. However, with the lack of sponsors, increased traffic costs and having to pay from own pocket every month and for some of the new modules/fuctionality to improve the site this was definetly not sustainable in the long term.

It is my hope that i do earn enough to pay for the sites monthly maintanence/new installations and maybe if i have some spare change i would even sponsor tournaments regularly so we woudlnt have to depend soley on donations for our prizes. Will change the frequency/places of the ads depending on the feedback, so alot of the design is still tentative.

Well one things for certain, anyone mods/coders/image artists or doanters who have donated to the community somehow will not have any adds displayed, which i will implement soon

Hey, currently the 'Latest blogs' widget doesn't show the entire title of the blog, so having the 'preview' doesn't seem to serve its purpose since you don't know what the article is. Is there a way to display the full title of each blog post?

hmm thanks for the feedback. right now if we make it any longer or display the full title the layout will be forced over new lines and the blog entries widget will be really big and messy. ill change the font to a size smllar now and see how it goes.

moving ur mouse over the text does have a preview of the content, perhaps i could change it to display the title but i dont know if that will be better.

i guess for now u got to keep ur title short and eye catching, as TL uses somethign similar as well

i absolutely love the new "Recent Articles" box! It looks great to have some pictures in our articles!
