"I don't expect our team to lose a map to anyone else in the challenge. Not because our players are necessarily better, but because Team Terran is a showcase of the best race in the game."
And so our story will begin on
6th April (Sunday)
3pm SGT/ 5pm AEST
Chapter One
Our four 'young' players will be coached by mentors from the teams who have picked them,
via Skype in a series of BO3s in the double elimination GSL format.
The coaches are expected to watch the game only from their protégé's pov.
Monobattles!!
Using Bx Monobattles Map of the week Meeting place : FundayFunzies (NA) Date/Time : 13 April/ Sunday / 7pm AEST/ 5pm SGT Format : Round Robin
The team games, Monobattles started off eventfully.
Team Unviable and Team Ande Yo were both a player down for their first round. A 3v3 1st round saw Team Ande Yo having a better unit composition (I mean, who chooses Overseers) and with South having dropped out of the game, it should be fine right? WRONG. A well-fed Enak with many blink stalkers and many overseers from IcedTea (making researching cloak useless for the ghosts) overwhelmed the hydras and marauders to claim their first victory.
When Team Terran met Team Ande Yo in battle, Captain Flux warned his players of all the possible cheeses from their opponent. A forge sighted at Halt's base brings alarm but Halt was merely FFEing. I was wondering why everyone had all sorts of detection at Team Ande Yo's bases when I see dt being one of the units that can be made (Crimson). Makes perfect sense then.
Team Terran however, despite their strong early army composition and pushes, fails to take Team Ande Yo out early and the increasing number of void rays and tempests proved too much for them. And so Team Ande Yo took their first victory from this set.
However, the aces for this series is clearly Team Potato who seem most at ease at playing monobattles with apparently a well developed strategy!

Edmond Lam (redemption): we are #1
Edmond Lam (redemption): i think my team knew when to repick
Edmond Lam (redemption): and not to
Edmond Lam (redemption): i was talking to them in call
Edmond Lam (redemption): and working out comps
Edmond Lam (redemption): and we decided who to feed minerals
Edmond Lam (redemption): every game
Watching their replays,in Team Terran vs Team Potato, Pox made under 20 reapers the whole game, had some 9 OCs; Suzy making mass marines off one base? And Dano's many Thors with Schnitzel making some mines.
In another game, Team Ande Yo vs Team Potato, I couldn't figure out what Schnitzel was suppose to make. I eventually deduced it's an air unit but I never did find out what he was suppose to make!
However, clearly their strategy has worked well, securing them a 3-0 victory in this series. Well done!

Chapter 3 will be over 2 weekends.
This coming weekend, we'll have 1v4 and 2v3 sets over 2 time slots. It's a BO7 with the above format. Each player on the team can only be allowed to play twice. So the captains have to choose wisely the players to play for each set. Captains will be submitting the roster for up to the 4th set by latest 1h before start time.
The Date/Time for each pair and stream will be announced later.
The next weekend, we will have winner vs winner; loser vs loser to decide the positions of 1st - 4th amongst the 4 teams.

Reason: Updated information for Chapter 2 and 3
WHAT HOW DID MK GET MANLY SO JEALOUS, doesn't matter team potato is the strongest just because of the sheer fact that we have more ToR then any other team.
>Terran won last WCS Qualifier for SEA
>Many protoss players are now disliking PvT matchup
>Many zergs are absolute trash at zvt (eg. flux, mk, nxz, fenner etc.)
>Team Potato has most terrans

I hope everyone had fun. I apologise for any problems that arose as well as snap decisions. I want to thank all the captains for without them, the games wont have happened :
Redemption : Wins the most organised Team award; a small hiccup at the beginning but a strong and steady team. Most impressive during the monobattles with the only team with a well formed strategy. Teamwork was obvious. Was a real pleasure to work with you and your team.
South : Another organised leader; Quiet and conscientious. A greatly underestimated team but hey look at the results and they speak for themselves.
Flux : Sorry u had to play despite the migraine. A fun person to be working with. And who would expect the name Team Terran from a team which is 100% zergs.
MK : A rocky start and probably the hardest team to be organised. We still love MK because hey, it's MK ^_^ Big shoutouts to Manly who was always the reliable one to be there every single time.
I'm in the process of getting a few of the good games casted and 'immortalised' on youtube. One of the casters is none other than Ducky. The other caster I'll reveal more details when it is up. When more details and the links are available, I'll post it up so that those who have missed them, can watch them any time

The replays for some of the good games were divided to be casted and put up by 2 different casters (Ducky and Droopy). (Split up the workload and not overly burden either of them)
Please check them all out when they are out and remember to like/subscribe to support their efforts. We need more casters out there so remember to support them
