Greetings my lovely sc2seaians!

I am pleased to announce that ESL SEA will be running qualifiers for IEM Guangzhou.

The qualifiers are split into three stages.

Stage One: Four open bracket qualifiers with the top two places of each bracket seeded into Stage 2

Stage Two: One double elimination bracket with 8 pro and semi pro players seeded straight in and 8 players from Stage 1. The top four players from this stage will then proceed to Stage 3.

Stage Three: One final double elimination style bracket with four of the top SEA players seeded and the remaining four brought up from Stage 2.

The official annoucnement of the tournament can be found here on the ESL site.

Stage one takes place between 8th - 11th of September with one bracket being held on each day. To sign up for the open brackets please make sure you have an ESL account and sign up for the tournament by following the links that can be found on the official announcement.

Stage two takes place on Friday the 14th of September

Stage three on Sunday the 16th of September and the TWO best players on the day will be awarded places to IEM Guangzhou!

I'm KnighT (from team LighT), but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be renaming to Tilea sometime before the next MLG (my new LighT uniform is already going to have Tilea on the back).

I'll be renaming partly because I don't really the name KnighT and partly because people don't seem to capitalise the T and KnightLighT doesn't look anywhere near as good as KnighTLighT.

On behalf of ESL SEA I would like to apologize to all the players who tried to take part in today's earlier IEM qualifier.

There was a mix up with the person who was supposed to be running the cup and he thought it wasn't till much later in the day and so didn't turn up on time. Again I apologize for the mis-communication and I will endeavor to make sure that ESL puts on better quality events in the future.

For those that didn't know.
Dispite the rocky start and allowing people to play multiple tournaments (Arena, EB Qualifiers and IEM quals stage 1) we managed to get through the tournament well. The final wasn't played out, however the two players to make it through to the next stage are:

Today's Qualifier went really well. Apart from one or two late shows who didn't make it into the cup everything went smoothly.

Congratulations to Frustration and Shieldz for making it through this qualifier and into stage 2!

Poker cant make it and will be replaced by cR.Spider afaik, Spider was told that by the admins and didn't play the last two qualifiers so if Poker changed his mind and is now playing that's pretty shitty. If someone could clarify this please

They are actually playing out for the spot now.

I didn't have any contact details for Spider and was in a rush to get a replacement. However Spider was online and they agreed to play for the spot. So it all worked out well.
