Last time we saw a bunch of our guys take a swing at the Winter Arena Qualifiers. Some did well, some did not so well. Others got screwed over pretty severely. The site was broken, the brackets were bugged and the admins were less than ideally responsive. We can only assume that all of these issues have now been resolved, so cheer on our SEA reps as they'll be firing up in less than 30 minutes!
Here's the entire qualifier format, since the "qualifier for a qualifier" thing seems to confuse people.
Open Bracket (This event)
* 128 Players
* Top 8 Advance to the Summer Arena Invite-Only Qualifier
Summer Arena Qualifier
* Europe (June 25-27) --- Top 9 Advance to MLG Summer Arena
* North America (June 30-July 1) --- Top 6 Advance to MLG Summer Arena
* Korea/Taiwan (July1-2) --- Top 9 Advance to MLG Summer Arena
MLG Summer Arena
* August 24th - August 26th in Raleigh, North Carolina
* Players who qualify for the Summer Arena via an Invite-Only Online Qualifier will receive a 4 night hotel stay.
* Australian participants will have at least a portion of their travel costs paid for.
It looks like it's open, but that might just be the website. That would explain why there are so many unknowns. Based on that list, I foresee all 5 of the SEA guys in the top 10.
8. Only Tournament Officials may connect to a Game as an observer. Inviting someone other than a Tournament Official to observe a Match may result in a Forfeit of the Game.
MLG invited 2 players from our team, with me purchasing 1 additional slot for Rossi via the MLG store.
karmy tried to prism allin my main with ff on my ramp on the advice of his teammate who took a few games off me the other week. He didn't even get out of the prism before i was under it with roachling and he just ggd and said he had to go so I got easy win yay
I refreshed a few times and saw nothing in the OP, so I posted and then had to move to a new computer and the OP had a bunch of results posted. Perfect timing.
I'm not sure whether I'll get in trouble if I try to download and install another browser so I can keep an eye on this while at work. So tempted though.

There's nothing to see. They aren't updating brackets or anything. Dox's post is the best source of infomation about this tournament on the entire internet.

Too late, already downloaded firefox and am eagerly refreshing despite knowing nothing is going to happen
I won against glade 2-0. Bracket continues tomorrow. I will most likely have to play Beastyqt. If anyone has any information from the last 10 days (no more) on his tvz playstyle please PM me!

It's always a shame when this clash goes uncasted.
What is it with US tourneys and matching up SEA players as much as possible v_v That Fenner vs Fourby first round TSL match last night was retarded lol
Whoah good results so far, Mafia and PiG kicking ass along with deth and Rossi. As much as I love the band Gojira and their latest album I have a feeling they will go down to Glade.
Shame about the brackets, but good to see a good number of dudes still in it after Day 1.
Awesome showing by SEA reps - everyone still alive in the tournament after three rounds, and the only losses at the hands of other SEA reps and EG.iNcontrol, who is apparently some sort of MLG mainstay or something
Anyway, good luck lads, I'm confident that everyone will go deeper!
3 thing,
A) Is the bracket working for anyone else? I see the bracket but not the result, like the bracket is still only showing the first round?
B) What are the rounds do you qualify?
C) Congratulation Mafia! SEA Reping!
Today is finished, the final rounds will be played out tomorrow morning between deth, GLaDe and PiG.
To answer the above post:
A) Only participants who are logged in can see the bracket
B) The 5th round of the Upper Bracket and 8th round of the Lower Bracket
Just to clarify bonq is a turd who decided to take a win when I disconnected. I had ridiculous lag anyway so doubtful I could have won. But still a bitch move on his part.
Will be playing the next few rounds from cityhunter where the connection is more stable. All the rain has screwed my home connection
I woke up to fine internet. My last practice game before I could play him I started getting 500ms again. Spent over an hour on the phone to net company (still on to them trying to sort this shit out). Fixing my home net is most important so I can train for ACL and GESC next weekend. My performance in the tokyo qualifiers last night shows that playing from an internet cafe surrounded by screaming idiots and security alarms going off is not an ideal place to play tournaments/practice seriously. Shame the private rooms have such big monitors at cityhunter I guess I'll take the bigger screen next time over screaming morons. Hmmm maybe this should be a blog about why Australian internet is fkn retarded but I've already written one of those in the past.
So proud of my deth, I was cooking him some epic lunch while he was playing against Ryze. Loved hearing his excitement when he won both matches through the lounge-room.

Good lunch and good games, what more could you ask for.
Too bad Ryze can play 100x better than deth. (according to him)

The Chad is great!
The next round for deth/Mafia resumed at 2:30AM today, but I was asleep and unable to track the games. According to deth, he waited until 6:30AM and still hadn't played a game, so he went to bed.
EDIT: Looks like he's been walked over now, and is in the lower bracket where DDE is waiting to play him.
-___- Bloody MLG. I don't like getting woken up at 6:30 and finding out the tournament hasn't even started?
It would of been much better if they did it the same time as the other qualifier.
edit: i could poke him with a stick and wake him up but he didn't have any motivation to play his games.
MLG are developing quite the reputation in these sort of tournaments. A few of my NA buddies didn't even bother playing cos they knew it wouldn't be worth the trouble of waiting around for hours on end.
