TA Edarus and Friends have a bye this week, they will face the winner of Match A in week 2.

Reschedules and no show ruling - As with Week 11 we can not be waiting around for un-announced reschedules to be played so if no warning is given, or a inadequate excuse then Walk Overs will be awarded (Walk overs awarded strictly by Admin approval only). If there is an expected reason to reschedule, organise that between the two team captains with a dead line of Mid night Monday 9th for the match to be played, that is, for example Player from team A is unavailable and needs reschedule but can not make a time before Tuesday, the match will be walked over or a sub used.
Sub allowance - As this is the Play offs, no team wants to see the results secured by Walk overs - therefore teams will be give 2 subs to use each week; for emergency replacement of no-show players etc.

He's say either 5 Bo3's worth 1, or 5 Bo3's PLUS 1 Bo3 worth 2.

5 x 1 point Bo3 = 5 points
5 x 1 point Bo3 + 1 x 2 point Bo3 = 7 points

I just hope the Week 1 Matches played the night before Good Friday doesnt rule out too many people. I presume quite a few people will be traveling to get to family before the Easter Weekend...I guess we will see.

I think it's just 6 to get rid of the tie issue, that's why the 5 1 point Bo3's should have been the format all season IMO.

I really liked the possibility of a tie, and of 1 game being worth more points than the others each week - i think it was a great format. The ace games added some hidden spice, and added an element of strategy to the games - as opposed to just slugging out with 5 players week in week out.

So we will have the first game on 5 april, then second round on what - 12 april? Just to deal with this issue now, that is going to be the start of a new season. I would anticipate that a fair few players from the 5 remaining teams will make diamond, esp from the powerhouse teams like perth penguins and TA. I dont want to see anyone lose games to ensure they dont get promoted, so i think we should consider amending the rule to be:-

1) each team must have (at least) 2 golds or lower; and
2) the other three spots can be anything

dont get me wrong, this pretty much destroys Zerocraft's chances of winning the competition (as we are wholly reliant on only facing 1 diamond a week that we can hope to snipe), but i thought i would throw out my 2c now before the promotions actually occur and there is suddenly an influx of people arguing for or against certain systems (which generally look completely biased, just saying).

It would be nice to agree on a system now before the promotions actually occur... if that is possible.

I like these rules; it doesn't rule out anybody.
With S7 coming up there will be some promo's in the system; it would be sad to think that this would change the lineups for the playoffs.

We could also just make it that the ranks that everybody is now (we update the front screen - and that's the way it stays) is what they have in the playoffs.

Good point Volition - we will look at the promotions when they come up and make a decision from there. At this stage there will be 5xBo3's worth 1 point each (Managers vote was basically tied, with Maynarde casting the decider). We will re-evaluate and discuss the format after this week and see what managers prefer and if Possible - we will incorporate as many games as possible into the final.. I think it would be fun to have 9xBo3's to decided the winner.. ^_^

Just posting to keep a record of the fact that after the QED miscommunication with admins regarding their in-clan reschedules, Fridge is barred from play for the 1st week of play-offs. QED is still able to play their games but will need to field their team of 5 without their fearless leader. He is of course still welcome to manage them and cheer them on like any good leader would, but will not be able to take the field. We have discussed this with him and he has accepted graciously.

ChadMann and I also apologize for any offence taken by QED members or indeed any T5 player due to allegations, we have all learned lessons here and hope that we continue to improve as admins and that QED improve team bonds as a result.

I was under the impression this reschedule was discussed with ToR...? it was brought to my attention before the match time - and it was posted in the thread - so you were aware before match time. However, it is probably a bad time for most people, so I give it to you breadfan to find an alternative time to play your match - otherwise QED will have to Sub a player to meet the time for this match.
It is already sorted out as rescheduled - just work out a time that suits..

I don't return from my honeymoon till late Saturday but I understand how hard it is to work out last minute schedule. I would still love to play our game though the result is irrelevant if you're unable and admins are happy u can take walkover. As this game is a dead one. And I don't want resentment about it.

Dumbest question - does the rule about having to play your guys in order count for the 5th game? for example, did the Perth Penguins have to put MrCrow out last, or could have they nominated a different player to play the 5th game?
