Welcome to the 14th SEA Masters Cup!

The Masters Cup is a single elimination style tournament. $100 prize on offer to the winner + Gray L Sc2sea Tee, $50 2nd prize, $25 3rd. $185 prize pool total*! This event is sponsored by Eddie and sc2sea.com

Sponsors and donations for this event are welcomed, if you'd like to help out, please pm me. Masters Cup usually gets around 10000+ viewers, and 100-150 of the highest quality players in the SEA region. Our last few Cups have had 13000+ viewers!

In this months Cup we shall be trialling two dedicated streams. This will offer variety in games and casters, as well as more advertisement opportunities for potential sponsors.

We are also looking for a Sc2sea + Masters Cup promotional video to be aired during events. Prize on offer is a White-Ra mouse pad, box signed by WhiteRa himself, courtesy of Mayo + Tt eSPORTS. See thread for details.

One lucky participant shall receive $10! While not a massive prize, its a free pizza, or a couple beers, etc, just for playing some sc2! Even if you are eliminated early be sure to stick around, watch the high quality games, and listen out for who will win (It may well be you!). Purpose of this is to encourage player participation, and offer a small reward for those who fail to place, as every game is of a high level. Depending upon future donations/sponsorship this may continue or be replaced by some other sort of prize, eg hardware. It shall be trialed this Masters Cup, as always, feedback welcomed. The prize draw shall be done live on stream using http://www.random.org/. If the number generated, matches your randomly seeded number on challonge.com, you're the winner! (Except if you no showed and got walked over in the early rounds, then we'll redraw, as it is designed to reward participants)

Date: Sunday, 11th of March, 2012.
Time: 6pm AEDT, 5pm AEST, 3pm SGT
Location: SEA Battle.net region.
Tournament Eligibility: You must be in Masters or Grand Masters League (1v1 - SEA license). Lower players will be disqualified.

Prizes: Winner gets the $100 + Gray L Sc2sea Tee prize and bragging rights for being the best of the best. $50 for 2nd, $25 to 3rd - *Prize pool may increase
There is also a lucky draw prize! One lucky person shall get $10 just for joining!
Battle.net Chat-Channel: "sc2seaMC". If the event is full, the late replacement channel shall be sc2seaMCx. Someone shall be organizing replacements, message them in game or talk in channel. If not message FaDeEdOne in game.

Rules and Regulations

· All results must be PMed to FaDeEdOne.139 or TAXanT.665 in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be fount their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any disconnects occur within the first two minutes of game-play, the match will be replayed. However if the disconnect occurs after two minutes of game-time, then it is up to the discretion of the referee to decide whether; A) the game is to be replayed, or B) player X/Y is to be awarded the win.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own Sea account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. If you are lucky enough to win two Masters Cups in a row, you must take a break from the next one. Just so we can spread the wealth and glory around.
. Non SEA residents/international players can join every 3rd 'open' Masters Cup. The 2 beforehand and 2 following are just for SEA players to compete amongst themselves.

I think two dedicated streams was a success.

Thanks also to XaxT for helping me run the tournament, and paying for the lucky prize this event.

Congratulations to mOOnGLaDe who played very well throughout the tournament, winning the final 3-1. This victory now outright makes him the most successful Masters Cup player. 4 wins and 1 2nd.

SQLNinja claims 2nd, with some very good wins leading into the final.

xGKingJazBas claims 3rd place, defeating his teammate Mafia 1-0.

Masters Cup #15 will be back in a month on April 8. That one shall be held on NA server, open to any GM + Masters player worldwide.
