Gamers Irregular, the e-gaming club of Singapore Management University, will be holding a Starcraft 2 tournament on the 24th of March!
NOTE: We have now opened the tournament to ALL STARCRAFT 2 PLAYERS, and separated the tournament into two tiers!
Attractive prizes will be up for grabs and the venue will be in a LAN shop near to town! The registration fee will cost ya a nominal amount of only $7!
The format of the tournament would be BO3 from the 1st round all the way to the finals, with the finals being BO5!
So far we already have around 30-40 players in both tiers combined so don't waste any time and SIGN UP NOW!
I am not a student but i am interested for casting
Thanks for the assistance frogmite! Unfortunately derpy and aLtsheepy have already agreed to cast this tournament.. We are currently looking at the format though and there MAY be one amateur cup for BSGP players and another cup for D,M,GM players. If so then we could use two groups of casters and we would appreciate your help!
Drake: for now since its limited to university students as long as you have a document / proof of enrollment in NUS you can join as well!
For those interested, please do sign up and indicate your particulars. As for those who are alumnis or just public, just type public under the appropriate places.

wow 7 dollars. is this tournament single or double elimination? i am quite sure no one would want to get knocked out in the first round after pay 7 dollars. lol prepare for CHEESE games
If you are truly diamond standard now, go ahead and sign up for the entry level tournament!
But should there be any dispute or anything we'll be checking the winners' profiles/play and we'll make the final decision.
The prizes for the entry league will be less attractive then for the pro league though, so choose carefully!
I think it is quite unfriendly asking people from NTU travel to SMU and back for about 3 hours just to pay $7 registration fee, can we do that on the day of event?

Yes sure you can pay on the day itself guys, we're just trying to confirm the number of players asap so that we can liase with the lan shop and also speed up the registration process on the day itself!

Will there be any priority for those who pay at 7-9th March and those who pay on the day itself? Cos yeah, as someone mentioned, travelling down just to pay is quite troublesome for some. :X

Yes, paying on 7th-9th March will confirm your slot in the tournament. Closer to the actual date of the tournament we will inform participants who have signed up too late that the tournament is full.
