BSGCL Week 9

Map: MLG Taldarim Altar

Here we are, the last week of the BSG Clan League Season 2. So far three teams have secured their seats for the playoffs: FaDe A, KA, Clanless. The last seat is still available!

Thursday 1st December

8.00PM AEDT :BtD 0-4 VB
These two teams won't qualify for the play-offs, but VB will be fully pumped-up to get their second win of the season. They did pretty impressive games but always fell short.

9.30PM AEDT : Clanless 2-4 ToR - Snod www.twitch.tv/thesnod
Clanless have secured their seat to the play-offs, and whatever the result tonight they can't finish at the first place. Will ToR use this to execute the perfect sneak attack and beat Clanless? ToR can still qualify, but they'll need a 4-0 victory to hope getting the last seat of playoffs. Difficult? But not impossible for sure.

8.00PM AEDT : iTATA 2-4 TCP
The two teams share the same number of points. TCP can't qualify for play-off even in case of victory against TA and a loss from FaDe B, but they won't let TA win the game so easily. TA have to win this game if they want to have a little chance of getting to play-off. A great match to watch!

8.00PM AEDT :FaDe A - KA - Frognarde www.twitch.tv/groalex
The two best teams of BSGCL season 2, fighting for the first place of the league in the last week! Without any doubts it will be THE game to watch for the whole season. Maynarde and I will be casting it live and for sure we'll get some fat hot BSG action! So tune in and enjoy the show!

8.00PM AEDT : FaDe B 4-3 QED
In my opinion the most important game of this week. Lots of teams will have their eyes on the result of FaDe B. FaDe B just have to win 1 game to get qualify for the play-offs but they will have a lot of pressure on their shoulders. QED won't let them get any single match.

KA v FaDe A is going to be a great match up...

To ToR manager - my team will most likely organise a reschedule as a few players that I want to play might not be available at 8pm thursday..

I'll talk to my team and work out a good time with you shortly!...

Interesting stat - If Clanless win 4-2 and KA lose 4-2 Clanless will snatch 2nd place!!

Other than that I think all the play off spots are secured.

In regards to the playoffs - do the Higher ranked teams get any advantage?... Perhaps higher ranked teams get 1st map choice and 2nd player choice...? makes sense to me..

The places determine the lineups for the semis so I guess thats a TYPE of advantage...

I think 1st map selection and 2nd player selection is good... for example.. FaDe A v KA in 1st round play offs (Fade 1st, KA 2nd)
Fade picks map.
KA picks their first player
Fade picks their first player...

Its not a big deal - but can give a slight advantage to FaDe.

3rd get the advantage over 4th to play against the 2nd best team instead of THE best team.
Same thing for the 1st team, they will play against the 4th, that is potentially less good than 3rd team.

I was under the impression that it was 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th
Loser of 3rd v 4th is out... Winner plays loser of 1st v 2nd (with the winner of the 1st v 2nd match going to finals)

Actually, the only way FaDe B will be over taken by TA - is if QED 4-0 FaDe B... :P due to win/loss ratio

Fullstop isn't in TA... but your point is correct.
Also on that, coupled with QED needing to beat FaDe B 4-0, TA need to win 4-2 or better for that to even matter.

I am fully aware that FullStop is in FaDe.. but the only team capable of taking 4th is TA and only if QED 4-0 FaDe B.

In my game people thought I ragequit.
I did not.

My cat jumped onto my tower, knocked the skyrim case off it (it was there to cover the button as an anti-cat device).
The cat then stood on the keyboard rotating the view, this was the first I noticed the cat was there coz it was pitch black in my room.

I batted the cat away, it fell onto the tower, hit the power button, sc2 closed and my PC asked me if i wanted to force close other things which windows is waiting to close to be able to shut down. I hit cancel, restarted SC2, but the damage was done.

Orb said I was lying about what happened because "you cant stop a shutdown", so I re-created the situation, videoed it, and uploaded it to prove i'm not lying.

Also, grudge match me v Orb coz he called me a liar.

Edarus, You have to admit that at the stage you paused it was a bad position for you at the time, and then the surrender without a comment was added to it. Thus "Seeming" like a rage quit. Now yes you came back on instantly straight after i left the game you were in bsgcl chat and saying a cat had started a shut down ( which u stopped with command prompts that i never knew were possible).

If you told that too many people it would seem a little farfetched. dnt you agree. But if thats what happened its what happened. no hard feelings from TCP. It was all just so weird and coincided with massively important events in the match.

I cant speak for Orb but a grudge match would be awesome. As you are both great players it would be as tense and entertaining as the previous XD

Lol yeah I wasn't complaining, was just explaining that I wasn't bullshitting.
Even when Frog offered to replay it I refused based of the rules being the rules, so I think its fairly clear I was accepting of the loss.

The reason for the pause was a paniced response to the cat, I managed to get in a pause before batting it away - leading to the shutdown lol.

But yes, if you have a heap of shit open Windows asks before forcing shutdown on them, coupled with that you can (if quick) do "shutdown /a" in the Run window to stop it.
