Is it possible for us to optimize the game we are currently streaming for the stream bar? Sort of like TL where you can show that ur playing SC2, BW, Dota 2, LoL and etc? It would be cool if that were possible ^^

With the return of the Who's Who profiles, I've integrated it with the member profiles such that if you have a Who's who profile, a clickable star will appear each time in your posts - which will go straight to the persons who's who page.

I am still working on a navbar of some sorts to make it easier to navigate so you can keep reading people's profiles. Maybe I'll stick it all in the postbit like the TGM menu.

Any ideas?

its not meant to be posted in the chatbox, I think the better solution would be to warn/ban people who do or disallow bbcode in the chatbox all together, but that would suck because just a few people ruin all the smiies being displayed

Just a small bug, if you try to view someones profile via the side profile thing, it comes up with an error.

Might be because the way you have set up the links, and because the blogs are in their own directory, it looks for "member.php?u=2" in the /blog/ location.

Was it possible to be able to have an option to be able to list/unlist your own stream...
for example. I want to play some games for like friends and stuff to watch but i don't think its worthy enough to be streamed. ie 2v2 games?

Dumbledore: Idle has to be used so site bandwidth doesn't get pwned by inactive users.
techtron: Yes, veteris added a new feature called "cloak" simply do that if you wanna hide your stream, and remember to decloak if you it to appear on the list again.

biggest problem with site still is the layout - threads/front page often exceeds the "background" space.

it should be fine when viewed at 1920x1080, but on, say, 1280x1024, there's just a tonne of black space on the right hand side (because the boxes for each post exceed the width of what i guess you could call the background placeholder for the site).

not really sure how you'd fix this, i don't know enough about web design =( maybe shuffle more things to the bottom of the page?

Few ideas.

Can we try a week or something with no chatbox? For a site with so many members, I can't help but feel that the number of new posts and topics being made is awfully small. Just look at members post counts, even people who have been around for a few years now have really tiny counts, as quite often, there just isn't that much activity going on in the forums.

Part of this I feel is due to the chatbox. It's all well and good, but people can't be expected to keep up with the chatbox 24/7. What if a topic that someone is really interested comes up in chatbox, but the person isn't online? Their input will be missed. As opposed to being in a new thread, which they can find and reply to next time they come on.

Also, the quality of posts is generally going to be a lot higher than the stuff you get out of the chatbox.

On a somewhat related note, I personally feel that the forums are a bit too cluttered. Do we really need an entire forum for bsg discussion? Can't that just be split amongst SC2 General and SC2 Strategy? Maybe even make a dedicated "BSG players post questions here thread". Seems much more space efficient. And I still don't know the difference between Tournaments and Tourney Archive lol

Also, more exclusive content is always appreciated. Stuff that you can only get at sc2sea. I realize there is quite a bit already with TGM + all the tournaments. But more is always good!

These are all just tiny gripes, but maybe worth thinking about a little? Keep up the good work though, the stuff you do here

The chatbox is definitely a really social element to the site - without it, I wouldn't feel like I were truly a part of the community, or at least not as much as I do.

I think that without chatbox, sure - you'll see some more posts. But the people who have only a few posts over a long period of time? I don't think it will be incentive to keep coming back. Just the fact that they have reason to come back day after day is testament to the effects of the chatbox. Plain old forums aren't for everyone, and the chatbox is just a way to include more people.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think BSG forums should stay because BSG accounts for like 60% of the player base - I feel that's enough for it to get its own. I think there are too many tournament forums that could be cleaned up, even if it's moving older tournaments like SEACL S1, BSGCL S1 and Nation War S1 to an archive forum. Really, unless it's a currently running league, I don't think it needs its own forum.

When viewing streams, the two chatboxes side by side is freakin awesome.

However - and I think other people have this problem aswell - twitch and justin.tv chat's hardly ever load, and I often have to spam page refreshes.

Is there any chance of getting a button that just refreshes the chatbox for the stream? Assuming this is a widespread problem, no point in implementing it just for me.

The chatbox contributes majorly to the community feel of the site... without the chatbox I'd probably check here every so often, but with the chatbox I pretty much have it open all the time, and it's actually much easier to contribute to threads cos I can easily see when new posts are made etc... and also I spend heaps of time here cos the chatbox made it easier to get to know people!

I'd rather log on and chat while posting, I don't want to sift through each forum looking for new posts to reply to, so having a list of what's changed (beyond the 'recent topics' widgets) would be awesome!

Hi Nirvana!

The Streamer list is too small on busy nights it would be totally cool it it were bigger, and put closer to the top so its one of he first things you see when you open the site.

Edit: apon reflection, the side bars feel a bit messy in general.
