but having a good mouse that tracks properly and is reliable (deathadder is the biggest candidate here) is worth its weight in gold

also just makes gaming all around more fun

Well I succumb to the e-penis pressure and went out and bought a Razor Imperator (6400dpi) and Razor Goliathus Pad (Speed Edition).




So far so good... just need to learn how to map macros to the buttons. Feels good so far! :P

btw in cause u are wondering all these mice have the same sensor that is made by a third ;party cant remember the name but i think that it is samsung or phillips meh.

Also dont buy the microsoft lazers as they usde their own system which is terrible and when i say terrible i mean u cant use it to browse the net terrible let alone play the game.

FYI - 6400dpi on 1280 x 1024 takes about 5mm movement for the cursor to travel at light speed across the screen. It is so fast that I think I dented my monitor from my cursor bashing from one side to the other :P

I have it set around 1500dpi for internet and with the on the fly adjustment to 1900 for my games.

i tend to use 400 for fps 800 on rts with either or for internet browsing 1920X1080 for my screen when playing broodwar (i play it windowed i prefer around 400-450 max as u dont need the higher speed as the active paly area is smaller.

The amount of people that don't play SC2 on 100hz/120hz but go out and unload hundreds of dollars on gaming equipment literally confuse the shit out of me.

Not playing on either 100/120hz is like trying to play SC2 with 20fps and one hand. Your mouses movements are ridiculously inaccurate too.
