As a Protoss player i lose so often to Zerg purely from Muta harrass. So many times a game my expansion is denied or i lose half the probes and im spening ALL my minerals on probes/keep up with army count. This barely gives me any spare minerals to get up cannons or upgrades or the necessary tech.
Even if i want to be an ass with phoenix's they get quickly hunted down (i know with decent micro its impossible to kill phoenix) but since they do so little damage to Muta's or Overlords its not even worth it anymore.

Phx > Muta. Micro is simple.. just move and let phx shoot 'em because phx has longer range than muta.

I know this and i said it, but i don't to get phoenix out because really? 5 phoenix vs 15 muta's, it's gonna take about 5 minutes of simple, CONSTANT micro which really pisses me off. I normally scout a little bit to late because i opt to get an immortal out first for the almost inevitable roaches. Even if a zerg doesnt have roaches i feel comfortable first getting an immortal and then a obs.
Seems to me that you P and T players really hate Mutas :P hahahha
Mutas are not that easy to get, although they cost 100 minerals and 100gas, to make them in mass (which is when they are strongest) is hard to do because they are so gas heavy, not to mention that banelings cost gas and time to morph too :P
Do banelings work against gateway units well? i know they work well against marines :P
I really encourage protoss players to use voidrays or phoenixes more, it really puts the zerg off if he doesnt scout it. A charge voidray can do alot to hydras. Only when the hydras are in mass then only the voidrays will get countered otherwise if you bring out voidrays early game, its a BIG challenge for the zerg to pull off.
Phoenixes really stop and prevent the zerg from getting Mutas. They will opt for hydralisk instead. As they get Hydras, get collosi and the zerg army will be smothered so easily hahahha plus the spire takes hours to build. i hate it when protoss constantly tech switches and harrases.

Baneling > Zealots. The problem with VR and Phx is the tech switch problem between GW units and Colo.
Playing as random, I'd say Corrupters are exceptionally tough against 'toss, especially when the corruption ability is used. And also when the Overseer uses Contaminate properly, real hell when trying to get that 1 attack up.
I hate infestors.... If anyone says infestors are weak they are dumb. I will not say infestors are imba but I will say that infestors are really strong. First of all fungal growth gives a damage over time and imobility as well as detection... what more skill can you ask.
Infested Terrans - thats like a free army for just enegy... It ruins tanks siege modes and as well as mineral lines.
They got mind control in which for example they can control your colossus or thors, bc's / big units. They can be a pain...
Hmmm well probably the most annoying thing about zerg is how cheap roaches are and how fast the can remax... seriousl though burrowed Banelings where you dont expect them like a few times you are just scouting around the map with your amry trying to get map control and pop your 200/200 army has just been wiped by 30 banelings :@.. other than thatinfestors and their insaine abilities
Zerg things that frustrate/beat me as a bad platinum league protoss:
* Drones blocking my Cybernetics Core placement
* Gas stealing
* Fast expands into big roach/sling pushes that hit while I'm trying to get my natural rolling
* Fast expands with 4+ spines so I can't force m/any units with my 3gate poke
* Large groups of mutas that keep finding vulnerable spots to poke
* Burrowed units at expansions preventing Nexus placement
* Hive units
I found myself recently doing a lot of phoenix harass but that just forces hydra's and unless you can get a decent collosi count up they will eat you up. Now I generally go for forge expand into +1 6 - 7 gate blink stalkers but if I scout hydra den then pump out some collosi and try and deny the zerg player from scouting my tech.
Infestors are so hard to counter even with ghosts emps.
And map control is hard to get. Z get mutas and pretty much fly around the map to spot drops and harass my base, 20 mutas = end game :O . That pissed me off :P
But overall, the game is pretty balanced. You just need solid micro and macro in TvZ.
Coming up against a Zerg has always been somewhat annoying; but these days I seem to be having the most trouble when Zerg opt for a lot of infestors into their unit mix, that said I'm in the process of adjusting my play in PvZ.
