Welcome to the general trading thread for Diablo 3. The general gist is too bypass the AH fees within the game, and get cheaper items, keep the items between the community. Basically you specify Hardcore or softcore, what you're seeking (ISO: In seek of) and people will bid/auction for what they think is fair. It is upto you (The original poster) what offer you take, and then to contact the buyer too organise the trade.

I feel that there should be an advantage for trading outside of the AH system, the obvious perk is the avoidance of the 15% tax.
Therefore, I propose a system such as this. It is part honour system, so I expect people in here to be manner enough.

Example:
Belt of Awesomeness
+150 Dex
+140 Vit
+15% Magic Find
Level: 60

Let's say we have that item. We do an AH search, the potential market value is about 100,000.
Over here, we would price it at 95,000.
This way, the seller gains that extra 10k instead of losing 15k and the buyer gets a discount.

I just realized a tooltip might be problematic. There's no fixed gear so to speak, stats are always different.

Anyone at lvl 49 or slightly higher who wants a 1h 214dps sword its on AH for 150k. Highest dps 1handers for lvl 49 that show are all <200dps, only reason this one doesnt show is that it's a lvl 60 item with "level required reduced by 11" stat on it, meaning it wont show up when you search for lvl 49 items unfortunately.

For reference, this is what lvl 49 top range dps looks like on AH atm
