Its pretty admirable of them to do that. Despite that though, I expect maybe 2 people to be able to play for the first hour or so as everyone bumrushes the server.

Its so that servers can handle it, they'll be able to scale up server capacity (Based on Testing), and/or add more servers, It'll remove huge wait times (ala SWTOR first week), and it'll reduce stress on servers/customer support until they decide to sell more. (Which is aparently after this weekend)

Its weird i know, and i thought it was silly when i first heard of it happening, but they're refusing to take your money right now , they gotta have a decent reason right? ^_^

i think it could also be a bit of a marketing gimmick, the people who are in feel valued and the people who aren't feel like they're missing out on something special.

Been playing for 3 and a half hours, as the server filled up its gotten quite laggy, and theres a couple of bugs.

This is still the best game i've played in a long long time.

Haven't had too much trouble with it, one of my story instances was laggy as hell but everywhere else has been ok.

Oh, and the WvW map on SoS just died and I can't log back in. That, I guess.
