putting citizenship to one side - i'm super super super excited for this event.

really looking forward to seeing what they're going to put together. i've also heard that there's going to be something done for the countries that miss out (like thailand/malaysia etc) so hopefully it should be sweet

I'm not demanding it be changed or protesting etc.. as probably are the rest of the players; i'm just giving my open opinion.

It is blizzard's tournament and i respect that, they make the rules for it and they co-ordinate it how ever they want, but opinions of players should be respected too.

As for WCG i feel it is a bit different as it mostly is representing your country, as far as i know (correct me if i'm wrong) i feel that this blizzard tournament is more representing an individual and his team more so than the country he came from.

Besides that tiny motherfucking issue in the whole global tournament, it still is going to be amazing no matter what happens.

Hear, they listen to whiners. Map pools are becoming bigger and bigger asses(i wonder How Korhal Compound wins tlmc )
on the other hand, they dont bring back the liked feature win/loss counts.

EDIT: Seriously, the division of regions is really off... way off.

Should have been:
Region 1: US+CA
Region 2: EU
Region 3: CN+TW
Region 4: KR
Region 5: SEA+ANZ

More logical IMO.

I agree with zendex, it should follow the region lock thing. but blizzard may have other considerations to work with e.g geographical distances, availability of venues etc and that may be one reason why some countries dont have qualifiers and the segregation is done differently.

also im quite certain anz's sc2 population is more than the whole of sea's (south east asia) combined. that being said im really looking forwad to this tournament and for more details to be announced.
