guys, guys, why not wait for the casts to be out and enjoy it rather than whine about it.
different people have different preferences. obviously enough people have liked kelly enough to pick her.

my personal favourite is novawar from lifesaglitchtv, but not everyone enjoys his brand of commentating.

Please tell me how many of these other casters do you know for a FACT applied for the job? If they didn't apply, they can't be expected to get it.

Congrats Kelly. Your casting from what I've seen seems fairly good. And, for anyone who hasn't read the GOM announcement yet, she will be casting half the games alongside Artosis, and half alongside Tasteless, giving them both a bit of a break. Should be great experience if nothing else.

I know I didn't apply (selling my house, belongings and taking a lower paying job? Really?), and I assume by Unstables response he didn't either. I'd say she was the only SEA caster to apply, although there were some US ones that apparently did.

Official Announcement out. She will be casting with either tasteless or artosis. I think its awesome that a sea caster is out there casting Code A.

I should have been broader and said there must have been better applications from any corner of the world.

In particular I am rather puzzled why there is no Torch anywhere in that announcement?? If they only needed one person to rotate with each of Artosis and Tasteless, why not get Torch to do it?

This decision I simply do not understand.

You guys can hate on Kelly all you want. In the end, she had more than 5 times the audience of any other caster I've had.

Is she the best caster in SEA? I'd agree with the majority here and say no. BUT, yes, being a cute young woman caters more to the SC2 demographic (nerdy young men, many of whom can't get laid).

She has a Singlish accent. However, it's not THAT bad. As far as SInglish goes, her Singlish accent is fairly mild actually.

Basically, give her a chance, see how she does.
