It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Man, today was a frustrating flop. Dozens of players didn't show up, and the stream refused to co-operate in every possible way (audio, video, lag, crashing, etc)!
P.S. I just updated the groups image in the OP. Yep, there are multiple people who forfeit the event after 1 loss and STILL made it out of their groups because no-one turned up. :/
Just a suggestion thats relevant to me, 10am is pretty early for a Sat morning for me, have you thought about having the online events later in the afternoon?

Well, it's 11:00AM for the majority. No matter what time you start an event, you can never please everyone. Daylight savings ends tonight.
There really needs to be some form of punishment for players who don't turn up it fucks seeding in the groups, wastes time and pisses people off. I can't really think of any suitable punishment other than not being allowed in any of the other online qualifiers though.
Thanks for running this big man! I would have played on if I beat dippa in our close series but I had to head off later in the arvo so threw the towel in early after losing to dippa meant I was unlikely to qualify!

I agree that it could stand to start a little later. I don't see the rounds going too long overtime unless you get one group stacked with all TvTs or something.

There's a stickied thread with it's own dedicated Schedule link on the right hand side of the page, with reminders being posted regularly, tweets, facebook announcements and plenty of other exposure. The attendance for the other 2 events was fantastic, so I really don't think exposure or time are relevant. I'd say most people just couldn't be bothered because almost all of the Championship Bracket invites are already determined.
People asked me to sign them up at 2AM lastnight and I went out of my way to do so, despite registrations closing several hours earlier. And then those people didn't even show up. This irritates me.
earlier is fine; groups are over in a few hours and people can do shit during the night if they want.
if you hold it in the afternoon you pretty much sack the night. don't forget some online rounds took like 6-7 hours. playing it earlier gives people leeway if shit happens.
It saddens me to know that a lot of people didn't show up cuz i had to do two tests for uni; one at 9 - 11 and then another at 1 - 3 so i couldn't play TT. I would've loved to play Starcraft 2 all day instead.
It will be a very long time until you see a SEA group stacked with tvts ahah. Thanks again for another awesome comp even if it did only take me like 45 mins to play our group dox and norksman!
