Actually this is a necessary part of questionnaire-based research, repeated questions (and in different ways) adds greater reliability to the question set. This is to prevent any 'mistakes'. (For example if in 5 variations of the same question, you answered yes for four and no for one, they know something is wrong)

This questionnaire has several flaws IMHO

I don't like how there's only 3 options though, I prefer those with 4 point scale or even 5 point scale (I prefer even scaled to 'force' a response)

Some questions were really odd too:
" Sometimes I feel inferior and sometimes I feel superior to others"
So what does it mean when I answer 'Sometimes'? Lolol.

"I usually say whatever is on my mind. Sometimes it gets me into trouble"
Practically a double barrelled question. What if I agree with the first part but disagree with the second?

"I can be assertive and aggressive when I need to be"
Assertive is not necessarily synonymous with aggressive, another double-barreled question.

Anyway, I'm an 8 too!

I got the Perforctionist....

+ [Type1] +
Ones need to be right, beyond reproach. An inner critic continually checks for possible faults. They continually try to do what is right, and likewise expect others to do the same. They become cranky when either they or others fail to measure up.
One's greatest fear is that they might be condemned for failure to adhere to their principles or ideals, whether lofty or trivial. Along with this urge comes a vigilance and an attention to detail.

Possible Origins. Ones commonly report that they were heavily criticized or punished when they were young and that they eventually became obsessed with trying to be good as a way of staying out of trouble. Many were expected to take on adult responsibility prematurely and often became like parents themselves in order to stabilize immature adults in the family. The atmosphere was one Of high expectation without rewards. Virtue was supposed to be its own reward, and so perfectionists were scolded for wrongdoing without being made special for the sacrifice Of being good.

Flawed Ones can be opinionated and self-righteous. They are perfectionists and expect others to live up to their exacting standards. Ones function by the rule book and if procedures are changed they may feel they're being set up for criticism. They have problems dealing with interactions that require multiple points Of view. As managers they are prone to over-controlling subordinates out of an attempt to "get it right" on their terms. They want rules and progress reports. They attempt to control the situation by setting limits, by tightening controls and assigning blame. At their worst, they are fault-finders and nit-pickers.

Well-adapted Ones have learned to be tolerant of themselves, and, consequently, tolerant of others. They have transcended petty fault-finding in themselves and others. They have discovered that their impulses are not inherently bad and they no longer repress their feelings inappropriately. They remain moral people and are often sought for guidance. They are known for their integrity and high principles, but are able to allow for differences in the ideals of others. The healthy One can be a strong force in community life because he or she will look to his conscience for guidance, rather than to personal gain or power.

As managers they harness their heightened sense of order to constructive ends. They no longer oppress subordinates with their high standards, but respect the performance levels of others. They have fine organizational abilities and are capable of taking real pleasure in developing their skills. They hold strong convictions without being self-righteous and rigid. They appraise themselves and others against their standards without being overly judgmental and without condemning those who do not measure up.

Occupations. Ones gravitate to jobs where procedures need to be enacted. They are researchers, teachers, accountants, and long-rang- planners. Occupations in which they can be arbiters of correct behavior also appeal to Ones: judges, policemen, grammarians. As managers they specialize in systematizing or rationalizing organizations on running a tight ship. They also tend to excel at implementing a slim-down strategy--at trimming fat and eliminating unnecessary levels, functions, or staff. Attractive environments include jobs that require organization and meticulous detail.

Finding Oneself:

Ones will probably agree with most of the following statements:
I put much effort into correcting my faults.
I'm often bothered because things aren't the way they should be.
I hate to waste time.
I often blame myself for not doing better.
Often the least flaw can ruin the whole thing for me.
I have trouble relaxing and being playful.
I frequently have a sense of urgency that time is running out and there is still so much left to do.
If something isn't fair, it really bothers me.
I get angry when I see others "getting away with it".
I normally see things as either right or wrong.

...And the performer.

Threes need the attention of others: they need to be recognized and even admired by others. Their own personal value comes not so much from how they view themselves as from the prestige and status that other people assign to them. They are compelled to avoid failure.
Success is more important to Threes than just about anything else in their lives, and so they tend to invest themselves totally in their work. They often sacrifice themselves to their jobs and careers and expect the same of others. They are good at rallying people because of their dedication to success, which they define in terms of achieving a goal or realizing a vision. They do not get bogged down in details. Although usually cooperative, they typically have difficulty forming intimate relationships and they are frequently uncomfortable with their own feelings.

Possible origins. Threes were the children who were prized for their achievements. They remember coming home from school and being asked about how well they had done, rather than how they felt about their day. Performance and image were rewarded, rather than emotional connections or a deep involvement in other people's lives. They eventually learned that the way to approval and love was successful performance, so they became adept at self-promotion and at projecting an image that incorporated the ideal characteristics of a role.

Flawed Threes are competitive to a fault. They possess an overwhelming need to be Number One. They can become tough, unrelenting taskmasters. They will be long on making demands and short on offering support as other people try to meet those demands. They often lose friends in their competitive frenzy and are unable to enjoy success once they have achieved it. They are also unduly concerned with impressing their superiors and tend to flaunt any favored standing they achieve. Because they use exploitative tactics to get what they want, their greatest fear-the fear of rejection--is often realized.

Well-adapted Threes are able to get beyond the need for an external affirmation of their worth and to come to a personal acceptance of themselves including their limitations. They no longer need the applause of an audience and they learn to find gratification in committing themselves to someone or something outside themselves. Healthy Threes are self-assured, have good social instincts and good relations with higher-ups, and an ambition to improve. Their natural enthusiasm and their ability to serve as role models make them excellent team players. Well-balanced Threes have transcended their self-focused tendencies and their single-minded preoccupation with their projects The healthy Threes learn to form close relationships for their own sake They also overcome any tendency to take credit not due them and to withhold credit due others In accepting their own fundamental worth as persons, they no longer are so susceptible to envying the accomplishments of others.

Occupations. Attractive environments include small businesses that have been built up through effort and long hours Jobs that require the consolidation of known ideas into workable systems -- packaging, promotion, marketing and sales As managers they specialize in building organizations, in turning their organizations into objects worthy of respect and high praise They gravitate toward environments where they can excel and avoid those where they cannot achieve.

Finding Oneself.

Threes will probably agree with most of the following statements:
I like to keep myself on the go.
I identify with achievement and performance.
Being able to get things organized and accomplished just seems to come natural to me.
"Success" is a word that means a lot to me.
I like to have clear goals set and to know where I stand on the way toward those goals.
I firmly believe that status and respect must be earned.
Projecting a successful image is very important to me.
Making decisions are not a problem for me.
I usually do not stop working long enough to ask myself how I feel about what I am doing.
I'll be happy after the next promotion.

It about sums me up :/

And here is that table thingy

Eight's need to be powerful to make their own way in life. They are motivated to maintain territorial control over anything that can influence their lives and by the desire to stay on top in any power struggle Of all the Enneagram types, they are the most openly aggressive. They are dominant figures both at work and at home.
They enjoy being strong and judge others according to whether those others are strong or weak. They also enjoy confronting others, and are even willing to take on the whole power structure if they feel a need for radical change. Eight's are courageous and will crusade for what they believe in. They bring abundant energy to meeting challenges at work or elsewhere.

They are "natural leaders." Their overwhelming self-confidence is contagious and can generate in others the energy that is necessary to accomplish monumental tasks.

Possible Origins. Eight's survived their childhood by taking a tough personal stand. Their world felt dominated by bigger, stronger people who wanted to control their lives. The child struggled against a sense of unfair odds and survived by any form of confrontation that would make enemies back down. They gained respect from peers for not crying, for not showing weakness, and for winning fights. They quickly found that it was more fun to break the rules than it was to try to keep them.

Flawed Eight's. Although they often become leaders, the preoccupation with power and control tarnishes their leadership qualities. They are better as entrepreneurs and as such are plentiful in the business world. They are interested in making the money that allows them to control their own fates. And they like the business arena which offers them the opportunity to exercise power. They often alienate potential sources of help, pressing other people's sore spots without recognizing the damage, or feeling the need to say the worst to someone for his or her own good --INTUITIVE TACTLESSNESS.

Well-Adapted Eight's are able to get beyond control and to place their considerable powers in the service of a goal or goals outside themselves. They retain their characteristic confidence, but have learned the virtue of restraint in exercising power. They are seen as deserving of the loyalty they inspire and, in this mode, they can excel at making a beneficial difference for large numbers of people. They have immense capacity for continuous pressure and follow-through on a project.

Occupations. Eight's are attracted to the world of business, to high finance, and to the political arena, often achieving quite high status. They also make good entrepreneurs and "transformational leaders."

Finding Oneself:

Eight's probably will agree with most of the following statements:
I am very good at standing up and fighting for what I want.
I have difficulty with compromise.
I am not afraid to confront other people and I do confront them.
I enjoy the exercise of power.
I am an aggressive, self-assertive person.
l know how to get things done.
I get bored easily and like to keep moving.
Justice and injustice are key issues for me.
Generally, I don't care much for introspection or too much self-analysis.
I think of myself as a non-conformist.

+ [TYPE 9] +

Nines need to avoid conflict and tension. They want to preserve harmony with others (or at least with key others) and to keep peace whatever the cost. They are often suite capable of ignoring anything which might disturb this essential harmony. They also prefer things to remain stable, and they resist change or disruption.
Possible Origins. Nines felt overlooked as children and as a consequence formed the habit of discounting their own essential needs. They describe family situations that range from neglect to being overshadowed by siblings to being ignored or attacked when they stood up for their own ideas. What is common to all of these childhood prototypes is the sense of not being listened to when an opinion was put forward and realizing that showing anger directly did not get their opinion heard.

Flawed Nines. Nines tend to ignore a problem rather than risk disturbing what they perceive as a stable situation. They often do harm to others and to themselves by refusing to deal with problems. They may also be passive, even lazy and overly dependent on external stimuli. Or they may procrastinate or stick to routine so as to avoid conflict and vitality. As managers, they tend to play a custodial or stand-pat role.

Well-Adapted Nines are those who have achieved a strong sense of themselves as individuals. They become masters of their fate and develop an active orientation to life. They remain peaceful individuals but do not turn away from problems. They are the most trusting of all the types and the most trusted. Their love of harmony makes them ideal mediators.

As managers, they are good at preserving what is best about an organization. They are stable individuals who have a calming influence--an asset in times of change and disruption. They are highly interested in putting back together what gets rent asunder in their organization. They restore the equilibrium. In playing this role, they shed their relative passivity and learn to take the initiative and to take stands. They gain confidence in their ability to contribute, but they rarely become arrogant.

Occupations. Nines, because of their excellent mediating skills, make good arbitrators and counselors. In groups they play an important part of harmonizes, bringing peace and calm. As managers, they keep the bureaucracy functioning--jobs that depend on routine, protocol, and recognized procedures. They also are good a playing integrator roles, as between functions or divisions or locations.

Finding Oneself.

Nines probably will agree with most of the following statements:
I often have difficulty in saying "no."
Most things in life aren't worth getting upset about.
I find that I often dip in and out Of conversations, thinking of several things at once.
The most important things to be done are left to the end Of the day.
While there are some differences, I feel most people are pretty much the same.
I hate to waste energy. I look for energy-saving approaches to things.
I become very stubborn when I feel pushed by others.
I can be a dispassionate arbiter because one side is as good as the other.
I'm really sensitive about having my efforts overlooked, criticized, discounted.
I tend to play things down to get other people settled down.

TYPE 3 & 8 for me! I would say a typical Engineer.

Your Enneagram Type(s): Type 3
