For what it's worth, I thought Miles' thread was really cool. I had fun trying to decrypt it and follow along to see if they really had unveiled everything I had to offer. Obviously there were others who enjoyed it (Minimat) and that's awesome.

(I'd also just like to highlight that multiple posts complaining about a "pointless thread" is inherently even more pointless.)

At the end of the day, a mod thought it was pointless so he merged it with this one. What we think doesn't really matter.

I don't think a single person is actually bothered by the threads being merged. Just the huge amount of negativity behind the posts in Miles' thread.

Eh.. Think what you will about me - I don't really care.

But MiLes and a few others spent some time working out the answers to the clues while many others posted wild speculation. When MiLes and Cam developed the more conclusive evidence we thought it would be fun to post in cryptically - as we didn't want to straight up solve three quaters of Dox's thread and give him a chance to post more clues if he wanted so others could enjoy the fun of all the riddles.

Many may not realise that MiLes, Dox and a few others chat quite alot on Skype and it was a bit of fun to have with Dox... If you guys think I insulted you.. so be it. I probably did. I make no apologies for this.

From my point of view.. we were having a bit of fun.. then a good half dozen of people just started saying what we were posting was useless, pointless and 'Retarded' then called me a dick and suggested MiLes and I were trying to derail Dox's thread.

Hate me for it if you want to - I don't care. We were just the Hardy Boys - following our raging clues.

Potential NvZ?
There has not been a NvZ account spotted in the wild yet but if there was a zerg player to be added to the "team" then the Hardy Boys bet is on iceiceice.
iceiceice has been talking with EdgE about how he had to decide between DotA 2 and Starcraft 2 and he chose the latter because of the 1v1 aspect instead of teambased play, joining a team would help him achieve this goal. iceiceice currently has a 221-69 record on SEA GM ladder which shows he is a solid zerg player.
Also there may not be a NvZ because iceiceice is at a DotA 2 tournament atm which could explain him not playing?
edit: EdgE says it isn't ice but let us discuss.

Getting fired up over small details is missing the point, some people agree with this way of doing announcements, some people disagree. Some people agree with posting more clues when you know the answer, some people disagree. Some people think it's important to know things, some people don't. Some people think God exists, some people don't. You see a pattern here? You have an opinion, cool. But in the end raging at each other to see a point of view when it's in fact fine to believe either side is actually rediculous.

Let's get this silly announcement thread back on track please. Don't be moonstars.
