No club owner in Brisbane city/Fortitude Valley would agree to having a Barcraft... Manabar is the only one that would go for it because they are a gaming bar..
I don't see having a small venue as an issue, as Brisbane has A) Tiny population B) very few gamers C) Very few bars.

Well I already mentioned one that would - the Fox. I would bet there are others. The only challenge would be major events on Saturdays and Sundays. Makes GSL finals tough, but MLG and Dreamhack finals could line up nice if people are keen for a pub lunch/liquid breakfast.
Anyway, as I said I am happy to arrange something, so don't worry about naysaying, just leave it to me

If you can get The Fox to agree to hosting a barcraft that wasn't in some back alley room, I will personally give you $100.
People are going on about how big the scene is in Brisbane and how we need a bigger bar than Manabar, when Manabar was a tiny turnout to begin with? I don't get it?

As I said, I am absolutely certain I could, obviously with the exception of weekend afternoons/evenings which rules out GSL. But I don't think they suit as they don't have a proper TV area, so whether they will or not is beside the point, I am merely saying that is one bar we could. There was a board game league a friend ran that used their entire games room (taking over their pool tables and all) every Tuesday with about 10-20 dudes a night. Since they went to play a game and might buy a beer on the side and we are going with the specific idea of going to a bar (i.e. spending money at their bar) I could swing it very easily. In fact, I'm tempted to get the OK for a wednesday night barcraft, send you their response then cancel it with them :P

You'd be surprised, in Perth, we've had some bars be super cooperative with us when hosting barcrafts. You just need to show them how profitable it really is, and when you start getting 100+, they generally have no complains and are happy to oblige your recommendations and even set up deals.
