hi all, my name is julio i am from the us and played aoe before sc2 (never touched sc). So i am learning as I go. My tag is furiokun and I do brazilian jiu jitsu and soccer when i am not online
I pride myself on my involvement in the SEA community as I am an Australian SC2 player and PRACBUD regular so I'm rather embarrassed that I have not posted here yet!
Time to wrong the right and get more involved in the SC2SEA community. I will have a look around and make some posts if I have something useful to say. If you guys have any suggestions of how I should get involved on these forums I'd love to hear them!
A bit more about myself, feel free to skip if you are of the tl;dr variety
I started out in the bottom of Bronze and through many whoopings developed a passion for the self-improvement inherent in SC2. I knew that I absolutely had to give something to the community and I knew that the game wasn't very beginner friendly.
From this I formed an idea: I would start writing about my learning experiences with SC2 as clearly as possible in an effort to help other new players struggling. I had an advantage over professional and higher ranked players as I was intimately familiar with the problems that beginners face. After all, I was slogging my way through them too!
Awesomely a bunch of people really liked what I was writing and I kept going. I am now in Diamond but my journey is far from over. There is still so much more to learn and I love it!
Eventually I want LearningSC2.com to be a place where new players can go for any of their struggles and read advice from people who know exactly what it is like to be hopelessly hopeless.
I also plan on moving into formal coaching when I am at a level where I am satisfied in my abilities and my ability to help another player. I especially want to focus on players with ladder anxiety and stress issues to help them overcome them. Ladder anxiety is the plague of SC2.
For the tl;dr guys:
I help people with SC2 because I know what it's like to be hopeless and I love to learn and teach.
Thanks for reading!
Edit: A big thanks to Maynarde for helping me get started ^^
I have ladder anxiety

Hey everyone! I am Pkat, I found my way here awhile back after being told of it from pigz I was just a bit slack on posting. I play zerg on NA/SEA in 1v1/3v3 and 4v4. Forever bronze 1v1 but somehow manged platinum in 3v3 random and diamond in 4v4 random.
Iv'e only just signed up, but been lurking the forum for a few months now. I've only really started following the competitive scene closely since middle of last year, having casually watched some games before that in both SC2 and Brood War. I live in Canberra, Australia where I work as a Games Programmer.
My main race is protoss in SC2. In brood war I switched between Zerg and Protoss, but I never played brood war online, just with friends and vs the AI (so I was pretty awful lol).
Finally got to Gold on SEA and Platinum on NA, still heaps to learn, but more importantly a lot of fun to be had. My main issue is lack of time and watching more games then playing!
Hi every1, I am hoping to get some random help and some good input on the forum when I get the time.
Welcome NioXin! another brissy guy. In game, join the channel Briscraft, we organise stuff around the area. anyone else in brissy can join also! glgl welcome to the forums

Hey everyone, my name is Prickles, I'm 27 and even thought I currently don't play very often, I'm keen to improve and get involved in the BSG tournament you have going here. I'll be on the lookout for a clan too, so if you are looking for a new player (Silver), pm me. I will put a post in the 'Looking for a clan' section as well.
Hey everyone, I'm Toxin and I come from competitive FPS (PC) games. I used to muck around a little bit on sc2 when it first came out but never really got into it until now. I've only started again over the last couple of days but have quite a bit of spare time now and am willing to put in the time, hardwork and practice to hopefully see some big improvements in my gameplay. I'm only a platinum zerg on NA atm (I live in brisbane but play NA mainly because real life friends who moved to America play on the server) so I'm not ranked on SEA currently. But so far the SEA community on this site seem pretty great so hopefully I can fit in around here
Hi everyone, I'm 23 and from Sydney, I've been playing casually as random on the north American ladder for a few seasons making my way up to diamond with all the races. Recently I started playing just Terran and played in my first LAN tourny at city hunter chatswood on the weekend, just making it through my group into the elims. I never knew how good the sea community is! Now I'm looking for a clan to practice with and represent in tournys, and hoping to play in the sea team league event that's upcoming.
I've been hanging out in a few of the big clans channels and had some great practice games with a variety of people already and hopefully there will be many more!
I'm what you'd consider fairly new to Starcraft 2. I used to play Brood War religiously before I even got the internet, good old modem matches. Then when Starcraft 2 came out I lacked the funds to get it, until I finally decided to take the plunge. Have been playing for about 3-4 months now.
I am in the Silver league for both 1v1 and 2v2 and hoping to improve my game. Have been watching a lot of casts and have found myself addicted to HD and Husky's casts, as well as twitch tv.
Looking forward to learning a lot and making some friends

Hi i am Keithen i have been playing games competitively for about 10years in the past 2years i made the switch from FPS to RTS due to limitations on the mouse side of things. I am looking for a cool place to grow and meet new people to share the love of gaming with me.

as the name suggests I'm Orion, an ID i chose because i was listening to Metallica's Orion when i created my battle net account. At the moment I'm busy watching GSL but I joined so I could find a clan to find some consistent practice partners cos i think ladder is just too random to find exactly what i should try and improve on. I can't spam the clan leaders with PM's yet so i guess i have to spend my first week finding out about all the clans first
Hopefully i'll be in some tournaments that the guys here are organizing at some point, I think it's fantastic that you've got a system (with the SEAL) where everyone from scrubs right up to GM's can compete. Congratulations all around are well deserved ^_^
