SEA Community Ladder Season 1!

For more details about this event including rules, tournament details, participants (and Skype details to arrange your game... or just use PM), waiting list and FAQ, refer to the original thread.
This thread will be for publishing of fixtures, results, and any discussions!

Main Division

How does this work?
1) Check your fixtures for the weeks (I will publish two weeks' fixtures at one go).
2) Contact your opponent via Skype or PM and play your games by the stated deadlines.
3) Report your results by posting in this thread. Report (at least)3 games at a go please! Report in this format:

OK... so who vitos a map first?

IMO the player who vitos second basically gets to pick the map to be played out of the remaining maps. You get a slight advantage by being able to choose what map is to be played when you are second to vito a map.... IMO the higher ranked player should pick first giving the little advantage to the lower ranked opponent.

What do you think?

I like it. We'll do it that way for you and me. I'd rather just play best of 3s using all 3 maps than any vetos though...

Good point conundrum, I've included that in the OP.

For map vetos:
Higher league player will veto first, and if you are in the same league, settle by coinflip.

As for Bo1 or Bo3, the default is of course Bo1, but if both players want a challenge and want to play a Bo3 or Bo5 or Bo7 it's really up to you, just make sure both players are agreeable. All I need are the results

The masters division is currently put on hold, crazerk and I will work something out of his exams. So for players in the masters league, please DO NOT PLAY your games. Basically the prize will be a SC2 Taiwan key sponsored by sc2sea.com, there will be NO PLAYER CAP and it will be made an official event. We will be testing the sc2sea ladder system as well.

For the non-masters league division everything continues as normally.

Masters Division players should have received PMs about the now-open Masters Division.

Main Division players, I have good news - there are prizes for you guys now!

To summarize for you,

The playoffs qualification has been modified. Now only 4 players and 2 players will qualify for the playoffs.
You will compete against the top 10 from the Masters Division in a Ro16 playoffs, winner gets a SC2 TW/KR key!
The player who is top of the Main Division table gets free 1h coaching!
The Main Division player who gets furthest in the playoffs stage wins free 3 month TGM subscription! (Subject to tiebreaker)

You don't get knocked out so quickly, there're quite a few rounds of loser's brackets I think you get to play at least 3 games if I'm not wrong.

Important Announcement
I can't be chasing you guys to play your games every week, so I'm going to make some slight tweaks to the walkover rule regarding missed games.

There will be 2 types of walkovers, mutual walkovers and one-sided walkovers.

Mutual Walkovers
Neither player contacts me about not being able to play out their game. Both players will not be awarded any points, and the match will be voided once the deadline is over.

One-Sided Walkovers
Only one player contacts me (before deadline) about not being able to contact his/her opponent, and clearly shows me the different instances where you've tried to reach him/her. (E.g. the PMs you sent, the Skype messages you sent, etc)
In this case, the player that contacted me will be awarded the win.
(The losing player does NOT get any points in this case)
If both players contact me about this (unable to arrange a time to play in the entire week), they will be given a 3-day extension. If the game has not been played after the 3 days, it will be treated as a Mutual Walkover

Just to clarify, the deadline for each round is 10PM SGT

The fixtures for Round 3 and 4 will be released on Saturday, after the deadline has passed.

And as stated before, if you miss two rounds in a row you will be replaced.

So far the only person to PM me about missing opponents is Zerggirl.
The deadline is 12 hours away, remember that if you don't tell me anything I'll just walkover both players (0 points each), if one player tells me that he can't find a particular player all week and nothing is heard from the other, that player will get the win.

And I think I need to state something which I didn't make clear - In the case of a one-sided walkover, the winner gets 20 points, but the loser gets 0 points. This is only fair, since I'm not going to award points to people who go MIA.

If they miss Round 3's games as well, they will be replaced. Solis has already missed an entire round, while yongming is a newcomer and only played 1 game. -_- Yongming has shown (minimal) signs of activity but it's not enough.
There are other eager people waiting to get in on this so it's not fair to them if I keep inactive people around for too long.

Do remember the walkover procedures listed clearly here.

Round 3 and 4's fixtures are out! Round 4 has a slightly extended deadline because of the Christmas season, but you are of course encouraged to finish your games ASAP to avoid missing the games.

The upcoming deadline is 17th December, from past experience, please complete your games EARLY it makes it a whole lot easier and lowers the risk of getting walkovered.

I think the new textures are a good change since maps never ******* change anyway (thanks blizz)- at least they have a different quality to them. It's really something miniscule anyway, maybe Tal'Darim is a bit off putting due to the huge terrain change (bright green -> dark black/red).

If you have seen my latest announcement for Masters Division, a minimum requirement for # of games has been implemented for them to be eligible for qualification.
From the looks of it currently, none of them qualify. If the situation remains as bad, the number of slots for Masters Division to qualify may be drastically reduced and those qualifier slots would be transferred over to you guys here at Main Division.

Thus, keep playing your games early and reporting! GL

Christmas is around the corner - if you're going to be travelling during christmas week (I.e. Frogmite, afaik), please play your games BEFORE you leave! I've alr prolonged the deadline for this very reason so there shouldn't be a reason to miss your match.
