aLt Lan Party + House Warming

Last Saturday, the aLt Division gathered together for nirvAnA's house warming which coincided with a clan war against SPR.

Thanks to SPR Team Manager Xenomorph for arranging and sponsoring this event! Team SPR is always looking for showmatches so if you wanna play them just send him a message The showmatch was broken down into two events. The first was a clan war, followed up with a special $100 showmatch between the top two players from each clan.

Event 1: - aLt vs SPR Clan Match
Format: Nine -Best of Three (9 x Bo3)
Maps: First Set of three games first Map - Shakuras. Second Set First map - Metalopolis. Third Set First Map - Shattered Temple.
Loser picks next map from the pool which will be TDA, Antiga, Shakuras, Metalopolis and Shattered Temple.

Event 2: - aLt vs SPR $100 Showmatch
Format: Two - Best of Fives (2 x Bo5). Winner of each match walks away with $50.
Maps: First Set of three games first Map - GSL daybreak.
Loser picks next map from the pool which will be Belshir, Shattered, TDA, Antiga, Metalopolis and Shakuras.

After the event, I took the time for a short interview with aLt clan leader nirvAnA.

EscapisT: Harrow nirvAnA, as the clan leader of aLt, what were your initial thoughts when facing up against SPR?
nirvAnA: I thought if they had used their KR players we wouldnt stand a chance

EscapisT: After finding out that their KR players will only be playing in the showmatch event, how did you feel your clan will fare against theirs in the clan war event?
nirvAnA: I thought it was very cool of them. didnt focus on the outcome of the result, the whole point was to go in and have fun, letting lots of members of each clan particiapte in the clan war, hence the 9 sets of 1v1.

EscapisT: Why your soup so good?
nirvAnA: secret recipe from grandmaster chef! TGM Soup edition incoming.

EscapisT: Why your house so nice?
nirvAnA: coz it has just been renovated! cost alot but thats one of the good things of buying a small place, lots of spare cash for upgrades!

EscapisT: Any final thoughts?
nirvAnA: Thanks to everyone from both clans for attending and making such an enjoyable clan war, and to the casters Stitch, Eddie and Frogmite! It was hard for me to help facilitate (i need a 4th cpu for admin lol) so big props to Xenomorph who was doing all the organising to make it smooth and was so patient - apologies for the downtime with aLt people setting up their equipment. hmm in the future i need to think of a better solution when they are at my place. Grats to aLt for winning the Clan war and Grats to SPR for winning the showmatches and SPR for putting up $100 to make this so exciting!!
