Well I am currently on my phone like I am a lot of the time (1 hour commute to and from work for the lose TT)
Anyway when new chatbox was first implemented it worked fine on my android phone ^^
Now I get only invalid instance id whenever I try to chat.
Any other phone users have trouble with the chat?
It would be sweet if it could be fix ^^

Shouldn't be driving and using your phone. Works on my iPod still.

To meat's question, on my iphone I can read chat box but can't type messages or scroll the box (I get same problem with our fade website), but I don't get any error messages. Maybe it's an android thing

Also the site has... wrong parameters. I dont know how to word it. Like it affects monitors and mobile devices. If you have a low-res monitor, the site doesn't shrink 50% or 30% to fit on your screen but instead stays as it is and becomes a long ass page and you have to scroll side to side. I dont know if im the only one thats experiencing it. It happened back on my 1280x1024 monitor, and it still happens on my ipod + iphone.

yes aean, i totally get what you mean about the screen resolution.
my main problem is the chatbox being too small for my work laptop. quite tiring to read words that are 1mm small.

For Nirvana: The new features are cool and all, but these are just some of the minor annoyances that I encounter. I love the new chatbox though.

Chatbox also works fine on my phone in iOS 4 Safari. There are no scrollbars, but you can use 2-finger scrolling to move it about.

On the page width:
The single biggest problem is that ridiculously wide "Top 10 Stats" box at the bottom. It's almost 1200px wide, and then you have to add on the sidebars. First thing I do is hide it. Second problem is wide images in news items, but it's not too bad if you only have one of the News or Tournaments columns open at a time. I tend to just minimize everything now and use the "News Archive" and "Tournament Archive" sidebars to look at new posts.

@Cyanide: How would it be if you could change the size of the text (but not the names and notifications, etc.)?

I surf sc2sea all the time on my iPhone (iOS5 Safari and last time when it was iOS4 Safari too) and have no real problems regarding those that are mentioned above.

I DID have the 'invalid instance' error a few times, but those errors seemed to pop up randomly (e.g. after I had posted a line in the chatbox, or when i post) which autofix itself. (e.g. just post again and it works)

The old chatbox had the option to increase font size for all the text within the chatbox. but I understand that it can't be done here, according to nirvana. just have to live with a zoomed screen =P i'm sure i'm only 1 of the few with that problem anyway.

probably possible but might take some time to do. basically need a few css themes definied then a option box to switch between them. well i think thats how it goes and if alot of people request for it we might look into it! ty for the feedback

Have a look at the example screenshot (exaggerated for effect). That's reasonably straightforward to accomplish, the difficulty with changing the font size for times+names is the column widths would get messed up. However, if it is only the font size of the messages themselves, then it doesn't matter because it can just freely wrap.

Or, if you are on Chrome/Firefox/something that supports Greasemonkey/something that supports custom pre-site stylesheet override, custom userscript or stylesheet ftw!

but that has always been the problem since the last one where i couldnt even see the chatbox so im not complaining!

well previous chatbox couldn't scroll but could do everything else - post, read
and when new one first came out it worked and could post without error.
But while tweaking it a setting changed or something and no can't post TT

Ya I don't think it's even specifically this website's fault, rather whatever browser functionality is on most smart phones. I get these same problems but also on other websites that use chat boxes like our enjin clan site.

Seems like the solution is to switch to iPhone
Chatbox has always worked

The only annoying thing is no Flash player which is just dumb. And doesn't seem to play sound for twitchtv app

I have twitch.tv app on iphone and sound works fine for me
